I love Lafayette Square for the history and the architect of the surrounding buildings. Must be aware of your surroundings and keep an eye out. But it is so beautiful.

If you've got the time, go here and enjoy some great music by some very talented musicians. Just try not to clog the actual Street Car from St. Charles on your way. The locals get very annoyed regarding the "limited" space on the actual car,...More

Every weds from springtime there is a free concert series at the square, starts at 3pm. We went along and it was terrific. Full sound stage with big screen, food and drink outlets, great vibe!

This was a nice place to visit. Very beautiful. Wasn’t a lot going on when I went, it was a good place in the center of the city.

It’s cute and quaint with some historic statues. Wednesday nights are free concert nights, and that is worth it. Not too crowded so you can sit and listen with good street food.

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
