Address
Neighborhood: French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

Excellent bar on Bourbon Street. It’s not easy to find a classy place on Bourbon Street anymore but this is one of them. Great service, great bartender, great live entertainment and great atmosphere. Need a respite from the craziness? Drop in here.

First rate mixology combined with quiet, classy ambiance. A place to have your cocktails and chat with your company. First rate.
PS: The women who tend bar here are polite and professional but don't think for a second that they will stand for nonsense. Watched a fellow get dressed down during French Quarter Festival by the bartendress who was absolutely right to do so. This is a clas

The Bourbon "O"
The Bourbon "O" is the bar connected to/with the Bourbon Orleans Hotel, and with so many bars within walking/staggering distance of the Hotel it is only fitting that the Bourbon "O" gets its own review. The Bourbon "O" has two entrances, one from the street and the other from inside the hotel. It is clean, plenty of seating both at tables as well as the bar. And the Bourbon "O" Staff are great. Bartenders Meiah, Andy, and Camille, gave "everyone" Conversation and a show while preparing the drinks. I did have a Sazerac, and the Lucid Absinthe Drip a couple times, but mostly kept with my Cabernet and my wife had coffee martinis or vodka and cranberry. Oh did I mention there is LIVE JAZZ in the evenings. So... great Bartenders, plenty of well made drinks, and Live Jazz, and you can take your time getting back to your room at the Bourbon Orleans, when you are done.

Used to be a welcome change and classy bar and good place to hear jazz. Big disappointment now. They have blues music and it's become a rough and tumble crowd. Going way downhill. Sad.

My boyfriend does not drink, but I do. We came to Bourbon O on a Saturday night and noticed a sign saying "One drink minimum per set". The place the packed so that was totally reasonable.,I ordered a ramos gin fizz and he ordered a $2 Ginger Ale. The next day we went back, this time much earlier around 4. There was only 6 people in the place (it was very dead) so I ordered a drink at the bar, and found a table to sit at. As I was finishing my drink a woman (the manager I assume) came up to us and asked us if we were staying at the hotel. When I said no, she said "I'm going to need to to buy another drink". There was no music at the time, and the place was almost empty. We got up and left. Plenty of other empty bars that will allow me to have a drink and enjoy my boyfriends company.

We had a Great time at the Bourbon O! It's a little more fancy than the "Spring break" side of Bourbon St. There was a live band, Jan Marie and the Mean Reds. They were great! Great drinks too! I ordered the Ramos Gin Fizz, and it was fun to watch the automatic shaker! I saw this bar was featured on one of the many cocktail tours, so we decided to go on our own. It was nice to take our time with our drinks and enjoy the atmosphere.

I went to my hotel bar 2 nights in a row for drinks. I had to try the Ramos Gin Fizz just to watch the shaker machine. Very good hurricanes and their Pimms Cup might be my favorite drink. We had a different female bartender each night and both were friendly and, coming from someone who worked in a bar for over a decade, great at their jobs. Loved the place!

Lots of fun with friends at this place. Good drinks and even better entertainment. Highly recommended to others for a great place right on Bourbon Street.

By far Rachel is one of the best bartenders not only in the French Quarter but in all of New Orleans!

We were just walking by and decided to check out the entertainment and have a drink. Stephen was our bartender and was wonderful. Had great conversation and after talking to me, made me the best classic daiquiri I have ever had. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and when someone came in smoking, he immediately, politely and professionally told them that smoking was not allowed. We ended up staying their for about 3 hours. We made sure we came back 3 nights later before we left town.
