Popped in for a walking break while strolling the French Quarter last Saturday, and this bar was playing the best music we heard on Bourbon St– think old school soul. We grabbed some ginger ale (and yeah... maybe a couple shots) just to relax for a bit until our next activity. I didn’t get the bartender’s name, but he was super friendly!

Long post but please read and beware!! I need to share a very strange and creepy experience I had this past Saturday evening. My boyfriend and I walked into the bar as we saw an advertisement of the best mojitos in town. The bartender and I talked as he made my mojitos (I ordered two) I then asked the bartender to take a photo of me drinking my two mojitos. A strange woman then came and jumped into my picture. Now this happens especially when people are intoxicated and I would typically laugh it off but this woman creeped me out. Also my boyfriend was using the atm machine at the time. She wasn't drunk and she laughed asking me to caption my photo as "my new white friend". I noticed the bartenders body language had strangely changed and he began making eye signals with the woman. I saved the photo but did not post it. She asked the bartender (who she knew by first name) for a glass of water and walked out. A few minutes later the woman came back with two men and another woman and said she wanted me to meet her friends. This interaction was once again very strange. Neither men smiled and they all circled around me and had me kind of closed in. Once my boyfriend walked back up they all disappeared without a word. I took one sip of the mojitos and threw them out as I started to feel strange and dizzy after ONE SIP! After doing some research I saw that a lot of people seem to go missing from this area and that sex trafficking is at an all time high in NOLA. I say all of this to say to be extremely careful. Always walk with someone and trust your instincts. If my boyfriend wasn't there I'm not sure what would've happened to me.

Visited on a Sat night. Had a very solid band playing. A little warm inside during Summer but a nice place. Drinks bought at the bar but easy access and nice staff. Go for the Jazz and atmosphere. Didn’t try food but they had bar bites. Full service bar with every thing you can think of to serve

We've been having Julian make us Mojitos and shots for a number of years now during our annual pilgrimage to Bourbon Street. His mojitos are the best around, as are his other bar drinks. A twinkle in his eye, you're in good hands with him. The attended bathrooms? Spotless and worth the tip. The 70's disco music brings back many memories. The butterynipple and PB&J shots? - liquid desserts. The "crowd" is friendly. And if Julian is busy or off, Robert admirably fills his shoes. For a fun, and somewhat quieter Bourbon Street escape, pop in for one, two, or three drinks you'll long remember.

Came in out of the rain, urged by Tiny, to get a drink until the rain subsided. No, we didn't know, it was a gay bar, but the bartender informed us he wasn't gay... We had not idea why he would say that. Their hurricanes are not from a mix and EXCELLENT!!! We would go back in a heart beat!
