If you love jazz, go there, this place and this street are places to go. The atmosphere of this street is nicer than Bourbon. The Spotted cat is a great club. The staff is very professional and nice. Musicians are great. We really had a...More

We visited on a Thursday night based on a friend's recommendation. The jazz was good. The seating almost non-existent. The drinks strong but basic. We finished our drink and walked over to some interesting "pop up" night art venues. Would have preferred a place to...More

We've been to Frenchmen Street a couple of times, but this was our first stop in here. The setting was fairly raucous, but everyone from the doorman to other customers were friendly and low-key. The band was great (jammed into the front window area), the...More

Walked into "the spotted cat" on a Wednesday evening. The place was buzzing at 9:30 pm with an unbeatable vibe. People of all age from 20's to 70's were foot tapping to the live jazz with "the shotgun jazz band" performing. Loved the old-school charm...More

They have live music here any day of the week, and it is a joy to watch the musicians and the band do their thing. Such talent! Would definitely come again!

For the music it's an amazing spot. It's basically a dive bar but inside somebody's house (it's kind of small). If you don't care too much for the looks this is the place to be for some authentic jazz music. The only negative thing is...More

A wonderful place with good live music and great vibe. A must visit for music lovers in NOLA who are looking for a night of fun. Don’t forget your ID, they check this at the door.

We went two nights running the music was excellent. The atmosphere was buzzing, and very busy. We were there mid week saw 2 bands a night and all were very good. There was a cover charge on the weekend.

Came across the Spotted Cat music Club purely by chance. My partner and I were walking towards our hotel when we stumbled across this gem. The band was playing a cover of 'Uptown Funk' by Bruno Mars, and we were immediately drawn in. We ended...More

Check the local the back pages of the 'what's on' magazine The Beat for shows and artists. No cover but you will be expected to buy a drink at the bar. Small plastic cup of special drink mix is $9.
