Do yourself a favor and take this tour with Elizabeth. You will NOT regret it! It is an informative walking tour in the French Quarter that guides you through a brief history of how New Orleans and its cocktails evolved. Elizabeth is extremely knowledgeable and far more entertaining that I can explain through this review. You may not finish every... More

Elizabeth has created an accessible, fun, and informative trip through New Orleans history with the best vehicle of all: alcohol. This is a great tour for friends, family, and couples set against the backdrop of the cityscape and drunks (not on the tour) falling down in the street (tour goers helped them up). You can use the information on the... More

We heard about the tour from a friend who said the tour was the best part of a trip to New Orleans. We can't argue with the assessment. We like to learn about the places we visit and we like to experience the culture of the place. Drink & Learn allows you to do both. Your tour starts at a... More

If you want a different cocktail tour do this one. You work your way through the French Quater with Elizabeth who has given you a cooler bag containing 5 cocktails. As you stop a long the way in the Quater Elizabeth explains the history of cocktails and you are invited to taste each of the numbered cocktails. Her enthusiasm and... More

This is a fun way to learn history! Elizabeth is an engaging story teller with an excellent sense of theatrics. The cocktails were delicious and potent! Don't think twice about this. Book it now. They sell out!

The first day I got into New Orleans (first time there) I did this tour. We learned the history of New Orleans through drinks (which are included in the 50$). Elizabeth is very theatrical in her story telling and kept everyone engaged. I didn't expect to be drunk at the end of 4 drinks but they were pretty strong! I... More

Elizabeth was very knowledgable not just about cocktail history, buy about history in general. She was charasmatic and relatable. The drinks were very good and the price was right for a great 2 hours!

Elizabeth Pearce was a hoot! She had everything all ready including a purse for each of us including 4 cold alcoholic drinks (favorite of NOLA-the Hurricane being one of them), water, napkins, recipes etc. We would stop at different locations in the French Quarter and she would tell us what drink to get out and drink. Highlights were her historical... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
