The format has already been covered in some of the other other reviews, so I won't go into that. What I will say, is that Elizabeth is very passionate about New Orleans and its culture--and this definitely comes across in her tour. Not only that, but she's an incredible story-teller who fleshes out the city's colorful history with a variety... More

Elizabeth was very professional and did a great job conveying some of the history of the city with an introduction to several of NOLAs signature drinks. There were 16-18 people in our group, including a group of 10 bachelor party. We met at a local bar where she passed out coolers with drinks she had made. She laid out the... More

We really recommend this tour. We weren't sure when we signed up, however we met many nice people (about 18 on our tour). Elizabeth was a wonderful tour guide and really knew the history of the establishments around the French Quarter. The drinks were delicious and made the tour very relaxing and laid back. By the end of the tour... More

We really enjoyed this very informative tour. Elizabeth is obviously is very passionate and proud of her city. This was our second trip in less than a year from Canada (Team Canada) but our first tour with Elizabeth. Elizabeth has a very unique and fun way of telling the history of booze in New Orleans. I suggest something small to... More

Can't recommend this tour enough. We took it initially on a work trip to New Orleans and loved it. In fact, we loved it so much I took another group on it a few weeks later when we went for a weekend get-away. Elizabeth is fun, engaging and keeps it moving. Great mix of history and drinks and the time... More

Elizabeth shares the history of drinks native to New Orleans. The stories were interesting and it was fun to taste these drinks along the way.

The perfect tour for nerdy mixologists, booze historians, and people who appreciate a good drink, Elizabeth recounts the story of New Orleans via the ingredients, characters, climate and politics that produced the city's most iconic cocktails. Her well-researched stories, and dramatic delivery of how the very drinks in your hand came into being, make her tour the best two hours... More

Do yourself a favor and take this tour with Elizabeth. You will NOT regret it! It is an informative walking tour in the French Quarter that guides you through a brief history of how New Orleans and its cocktails evolved. Elizabeth is extremely knowledgeable and far more entertaining that I can explain through this review. You may not finish every... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
