Address
Neighborhood: French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

Nice statues, lovely courtyard, good music
Jun 2021
This was one of the highlights of walking down Bourbon Street. We looked forward to listening to the music here. The place was always busy and we chose not to stand in the sun to wait to be seated. I feel before Covid this place would be even more crowded. There's lots of bands playing inside venues on Bourbon street but most are too loud, and it's country music. Nothing wrong with country music, however, we came for the Jazz and this place delivers really good Jazz when some one is playing. It's a nice tribute to the greats. Lots of choices for food.

Great Live Music
Jun 2021 • Couples
Great place to set and relax to jazz and get out of the crowd of Burbon street. Steamboat Willie is the best. A true New Orleans icon. Other musicians though out the day.

Listened to a band here while we enjoyed coffee and beignets. We were here on a weeknight and you'd never know you were on Bourbon Street, totally different vibe. Free to sit and enjoy, if there's music make sure to tip!

Fun!
Aug 2020 • Solo
I am a solo traveler. I wandered upon this place and was so happy with it! Enter thru the black gates and it’s a beautiful outdoor eating area with a little stage. (Seating area is covered, safe from rain!) There’s a little bar and an area where you order food and they bring it out to you. I had the roast beef po boy, it was great and very filling! I had frozen drinks, they were tasty but at $12 each for a lightly alcoholic slushee from a machine I felt they were overpriced. I’m sure beer would have been cheaper but I’m on vacation I wanted girly frozen drinks lol. The live music was fantastic, there were three guys on stage and they did an awesome job with both the music and engaging with the audience. If you’re thinking of going here, do it! :)

A Fun Place
Jun 2019
On the evening we visited, there was a jazz performance of local musicians. It is a small area and the night we were there it was hot. Being in that small place was fun but claustrophobic. The statues were full of history. Once you walked to the end of the square it was more room and a lot cooler. There are many food vendors with good New Orleans cuisine. The music was free but the food had to be purchased. prices were very affordable.

Just a tiny patio off Bourbon Street
Mar 2020
This is a cute little patio with some drink and food vendors off the side but nothing special. In the evening there is music but now not the kind of Jazz or New Orleans feel you would expect. It will feature some more modern/rock or lounge type of music. It might be worth a stop if you are in the area but not worth making an extra stop.

Jazzzzz

Really liked this place. Great place to seat and relax listening to live jazz. Even though it's on Bourbon St you feel you are away of the craziness. Have a drink or eat a beignet. Amazing place.

Small plaza with live jazz
Jan 2020
This is nice little spot to enjoy free live jazz throughout the day. It is adorned with several statues of musicians and is connected to Cafe Beignet. It's not something you really need to carve out time for, but it's a good spot to rest your feet.
