Great tour however it was a bit rushed as the tour guide said we were early being a Saturday morning and not much traffic- felt could have stopped a bit more and taken more photos- I felt the bikes were a bit hard to ride given the day before we did a 3 hour afternoon tour and the bikes felt... Great service, awesome bikes! I will use these guys again every time I visit. I highly recommend the ride up Esplanade to City Park - it's a great way to see different parts of the city and spend a half day or more.

Awesome experience! Riding a bike is the way to see New Orleans, especially in the summer. This way you always have a breeze and stay cool. We rented bikes for the day and rode into the Garden District and around the French Quarter. We even stopped at a restaurant during our ride. The staff is friendly and helpful. With the... More

My buddies and I rented bikes for 4 hours, got a map and explored the outer reaches of New Orleans. Took a 19 mile "loop" around City Park. Very relaxing and a great way to work off the food and spirits from two nights in the French Quarter. Regular bikes anyone, of any age can handle.

Traveling via The American Bicycle Rental Company is a great way to see the city. I took both of their guided 3 hour trips and them rented a bike for 4 hours one afternoon. Whoa....perfect was to sight see as you can see a lot in a few hours. Great staff too.

The bikes seemed a little heavy, but riding in New Orleans is pretty bike friendly. The bikes were in good shape with a lock and staff was pretty good about adjusting seats.

me and my lady just popped in in the middle of the day and wanted a quick fix: we had three hours left in Nola and wanted to see as much as possible. Ali (?) the owner was super quick, friendly, professional, he cut to the chase and we were out of there with two super comfy, flashy bikes, with... More

The folks at American Bicycle were super nice and easy to work with. It was our first time to NOLA and we were able to find our way around very easily with the bike-friendly map they created. Loved being able to see so much of the city in a single day. Wide bike seats made the bikes very comfortable.

I visited the website prior to my visit that describes in details what they do, and what is needed to rent a bicycle. So, when I was there I knew perfectly the terms of service. The process was quick, and after a few minutes I had my own tour in New Orleans. The bicycle was perfect, and riding in New... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
