About
A contemporary loft style boutique art gallery in the heart of the French Quarter arts district dealing in original art. Our roster includes matured, widely-collected artists, as well as artists whose careers are reaching the first of many peaks. Large turnover on available paintings not only prove the popularity of our artists and their work, they also keep our walls fresh, consistently opening space to more beautiful and exciting pieces of art. Our space is constantly being transformed. Our goal is to source honest, exclusive and original works from artists that are extremely driven, energetic, and in the height of their busy art career. Artists and one-off works with a strong positive vibe and unique flavor –that is Orange!!

The area
Address
Neighborhood: French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

We visited so many galleries during our week in NOLA, this was one of our favorites. Jamie really took her time to understand what we were interested in.
Lots of reasonable priced local contemporary art to be found here.

We recently purchased 3 pieces from Galley Orange. We worked with Tracy and she was wonderful. Good selection of artists and very accommodating! We had an issue with one of the frames after we received it and they were great to work with to fix. Excellent communication via email since we were from out of town and purchased after our visit. Will go again!

Great gallery. My husband and I have bought several pieces there. Interesting art; and friendly owner, staff, and gallery dog.

My husband and I have been visiting this Gallery since it opened, and we are addicted to the fabulous, fun and affordable art that they always have available! Tracy, the gallery owner, does a wonderful job of finding new artists and then catapulting them to fame. Now we just buy from Gallery Orange via their Facebook page... it's that easy!! Except we miss the free champagne that Tracy gives you in the gallery! :-)

From what I've seen over several trips, this is the best gallery in the Quarter. Strong selection of representation and abstract work. It's an inviting space and the owner was a pleasure to talk with.

We found Gallery Orange on our baby-moon trip. We had a mild intention of purchasing art during the trip, but fell in love with the gallery and their artists. Tracey, the Gallery owner, was very helpful and patient with our many questions. The GO artists come from all over, but the quality is outstanding! From Gigi Mills' playfulness, Jamie Kirkland's landscapes, Carlos Lopez hypnotic oysters, to Aaron Reichert's iconic work (and many others) you will not be able to leave without an addition to your collection. We didn't and keep coming back (five paintings and counting). Plus if you stick around enough, you will make friends for future visits and maybe even get some champagne. Tracy is also great with restaurant and bar suggestions. A must visit if in NOLA.

I walked into this place while I was in the French Quarter because it seemed very inviting; it was bright and open. The pieces were creative and colorful, many from local Louisiana artists I have never seen before. The owner, Tracy, was not pushy at all, so I felt like I could walk around and enjoy the space without having to purchase something...but she was very knowledgeable and helpful when I asked about the artwork.

This gallery is not as much about "classic" art as it is about incredible works of creativity that you instantly fall in love with! Other galleries are stuffy and boring, but this one is fun and lively -- just like the art they sell. Several different styles, from abstract to pop, but something for everyone! Be sure not to miss this place if you visit NOLA!

I would like to say that we are their number one fan, but fortunately for Gallery Orange, I share this with hundreds of other GO fans. We fell in love with this new, trendy gallery last year and immediately became clients. We love it so mush, that we purchased more pieces this year. Every piece is original by new emerging artists. We love GO!!

There are so many galleries to check out while one is visiting New Orleans. Royal Street galleries seem to be the main attraction. You'll find everything "New Orleans" in the galleries...and if that's what you're into, you'll find it.

Gallery Orange is one of the more upscale places to view and purchase art, which isn't New Orleans themed. I suppose that's one of the reasons I love this gallery. Seriously, how many portrayed tuba players does one need?

Every time I go into Orange...I'm refreshed by intellectual pieces that make me stop in my tracks and *think*. Gigi Mills work is my favorite...I love paintings that reach inside me and pull out a piece of the past. Nostalgic, to say the least.

Yet, I'm also in awe of Sarah Ashley Longhorn's pieces - bright, with an 'in-your-face' sense of humor. Larger than life!

Even though I have yet to purchase a piece of artwork from the gallery...it never stops me from going in. The owner, Tracy, is always nice and friendly. Her side kick, Dominique, is a real hoot and I never feel as if I'm expected to buy something.

Personally, I appreciate this approach...as I don't get this warm welcome from some of the other galleries. As soon as one announces they're an artist, most gallery personal can become rude and flat out stop interacting.

I love Gallery Orange...as an artist, I will always go in, receive a warm welcome, sit on the white couch and be inspired by the artwork. Tracy and Dominique always offer me something to drink and indulge me with meaningful, sincere conversation about the work on the walls.

Side Note: Not sure what happened with the negative feedback/interaction with Nathan, as that has never been my experience. If Gallery Orange was only interested in the almighty dollar - they would have booted me out a long time ago!

Always inspired and will continue to return.
