My wife and I took this cruise as part of our city pass tickets thinking that it would be an interesting first-time experience to be on a paddle-wheeler boat. Wendell, our historian guide made this an educational and entertaining experience. He has well-versed in New...More

I guess we should have read the description a bit better...almost half this "cruise" was spent at a historic site - not cruising. Glad this was included in our NOLA Power Pass. We did not have any food on board, so can't speak to that...More

What a fabulous river boat ride which was narrated by Charles! I learned so much history of this area from the 1600’s to the wars in the early 1800’s. Then we stopped at a battleground and we were transported back into the war with Britain!...More

Great way to spend an afternoon. Our guide, Wendell, was very knowledgeable about New Orleans, the River, Battle of New Orleans and Mardi Gras. Great was to take perfect photographs of New Orleans.

Our guide with the baritone voice was funny and engaging in his depiction of the history of the area. A former attorney turned tour historian he clearly did his research and delivered it in an enthusiastic manner. With the government shutdown, he took over the...More

We took an afternoon cruise - on the way to the battlefield, our commentator spoke about what we were seeing and the history of the area. At the battlefield, we had about 45 minutes to get off the ship. Because the federal government is shut...More

My husband and I visited New Orleans and took this cruise. The history was great. Food was excellent. We will take this cruise again on our next trip to New Orleans.

My wife and I did a 2 hour cruise on our anniversary. The staff were very friendly and the live jazz music playing on the top deck was amazing. We were able to enjoy the music while watching the sun set over New Orleans. We...More

Had so much fun cruising down the Mississippi River and learning about the history of New Orleans and the battle of New Orleans in 1812. We stopped at the site where the battle of New Orleans took place and toured the area then reboarded for...More

This was very enjoyable. It was beautiful weather and the water was so smooth. The cruise lasted about 3 hours. The crew was informative and delivered the information with humor where appropriate. Would take this cruise again. The dining rooms is out of a movie...More

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts

There's parking by the Hilton hotel and mall that is right there. New Orleans is terrible when it comes to driving in the city. So much traffic, construction and small lanes.

There is a small ticket office next to where the cruise departs but as the ticket booth is quite small the queues can get very long. So you properly need to get there a bit earlier (at least 30 min before) . You need to have... More
