We had a wonderful time on our paddleboat trip today. The historian and speaker on board, Charles, really made the experience worthwhile. His stories were very easy to listen to and his passion for Katrina was heartfelt. I would recommend this to everyone, even children...they could understand a lot of the history he was speaking of. It really was "Excellent"!

I decided to surprise my hubby with tickets on his birthday. The food was delicious & the service was perfect. The band was extremely entertaining & the cruise was relaxing. All in all this made for a perfect birthday dinner!!

This is a wonderful 3 hour cruise down the Mississippi River. They offer a meal option with cruise with Cajun dishes that looked and smelled great but we didn't choose that. They do have a open bar with drink specials. The cruse is narrated and very informative about the war of 1812 and the battles fought in New Orleans. They... More

Creole Queen offers a number of different cruises - my son and I opted for the historical river cruise to the Chalmette Battlefield at the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. There's a historian on board and he gives a decent talk on the way about the history of New Orleans, but the battlefield itself was the best part... More

I would highly recommend this. Our guide was Charles Chestnutt and he was amazing. He spoke of the history of New Orleans during our ride out to Chalmette Battlefield and once we arrived at the Battlefield a ranger told us of the battle of 1812 that happened where we were standing. One helpful hint, the ranger's presentation is nearly 30... More

Very comfortable cruise with a great narrator that explains about the area, the history of the area and will personally answer any of your questions while traveling to the site of the Battle Of New Orleans where over 2000 British soldiers died compared to 6 Americans. A park Ranger will take over as your source of information once at the... More

TOTALLY WORTH EVERY SECOND!! The river cruise makes it way up the Mississippi to the location of the Battle of New Orleans. On the way up our narrator, Charles, gave a depiction of the history of New Orleans and the ensuing battle previously mentioned. We stopped at the national park (which was okay), got back on the boat and headed... More

The staff were very nice, kind and friendly. The food was great - tasty with a nice variety of NOLA favorites. Then the music began and it went downhill from there. Music was being performed in two rooms . The room we were seated in had an established musician playing. He also teaches music/choir in several schools. He apparently thought... More

Had a great ride on the old girl. We had a historian and he was full of information regarding the battles in New Orleans. Went to the battlefield. I thought that there could be so much more the historic society could do to get people a lot more interested. For instance too much talking a bit of action or involvement... More

Debated to take Natchez or Creole Queen and I am now glad I choose the Queen. The trip consisted of a 45 minute narrated ride down river to a Chamlet Battleground. Charles, the Narrator/Historian did an excellent and entertaining job on the history of New Orleans leading up to the 1815 Battle of New Orleans. Upon arriving at the Battleground,... More
