George the narrator was excellent. History on the way to the battlefield, then Katrina on the way back… he made the tour. Overall, nice boat ride 40 min each way. Battlefield stop was more of a chance to stretch, not much there. And get in line early, there is not enough seating on the boat and many people grab the good seats and never let them go.

Excellent cruise with very entertaining guide Charles. We went on a weekday so it wasn't crowded. Bought tickets at the visitor centre beforehand but they can be purchased at the dock. Lunch quite tasty but nothing special. The commentary both on the boat and at the Battle of New Orleans site was excellent. We recommend this trip.

We had a pretty good time. We ended up purchasing a la cart food options, which were a little expensive for the sizing, but still good. The music was great and we enjoyed the cruise overall.

Great trip - did the lunchtime historic tour. Charles Chestnut the guide was amazing ... lots of info in a very pleasant presentation. Learned about river, city, Katrina; Chalmette was we worth the visit - I knew so little about American history .... now I know a little. Charles has a podcast so can listen back. Food OK but might go for lunch before or dinner after on land. But experience on boat not to be missed.

The Creole Queen was a great family activity. The boat is clean and well maintained. Charles, the guide, was amazing! We learned so much about the Battle of New Orleans, Katrina, and New Orleans. It was neat watching all that happens on the Mississippi in such a short time. We had our 4 kids (7yrs -14 yrs) and my Dad (67 yrs). Everyone had a great time!

We did the cruise that included the lunch. That was very good, especially the macaroni and cheese. The information from the guide was very informative and interesting on the way to the battlefield, but there was nothing on the way back. I would have thought that there would have been some mention about the other side of the river, or Katrina or something, but nothing.

Had the best time taking the Creole Queen up the Mississippi to the Chalmette Battlefield. Our tour guide was named Charles. He was incredible. A very good story teller and I am in awe of all the information he has memorized about history and New Orleans. It was about 45 minutes to the battlefield and then we had a quick 50 minutes to walk around. On the boat ride back to New Orleans our guide told us about Hurricane Katrina and what his family went through. I personally was so moved by this story and Charles did an unbelievable job laying out what happened day by day. Highly recommend.

In New orleans? Well a paddle boat cruise is a must! This was a good one! We opted out of food so I can't rate that but they had a great beer selection and I saw people eating and what they were eating looked good! It was a great Cruise, our tour guide who spoke was very knowledgeable about the history of New Orleans and was open to any questions one might have! The trip to the National Park was a bonus for me!

We enjoyed this cruise and also opted for the lunch which was pretty tasty! You can also order drinks at the bar. The educator who was the tour guide over the loud speaker was entertaining as well as very informative.
Be prepared to walk when you stop at Chalmette Battlefield. It was hot outside and too far for my husband to walk, so he stayed on the boat. There were too many of us in the group to hear the battlefield guide, so I just walked around and read the signs. I think that could be done better.
