We started are first day in New Orleans going to the creole queen because it came highly recommended by our hotel concierge so we started in a HOT! Line (it must have been like 500 degrees outside but we braved the heat to be the first ones on the boat, we first met the boats photographer Ken who was so... More

This cruise was the quintessential paddlewheel cruise down the mighty Mississippi. The sights are amazing and the narration was very informative. I enjoyed the opportunity of seeing a real Louisiana Plantation house and the Battle of New Orleans battlefield. My only complaint was that the you really needed more than the allotted hour to see all the sights at the... More

Charles is a fantastic storyteller. I enjoyed his style. He was also so helpful with suggestions on local places to see. He came to each table and offered more info on anything you wanted. Great time. Worth the money. Would recommend to all my friends.

We did the afternoon tour and got an amazing overview of the history of New Orelans and then stopped at the national park. The boat guide was excellent and very knowledgable. We then had a park ranger explain the battle that took place and a quick look around the visitor centre. Worth the trip and a nice afternoon on the... More

We embarked on the Creole Queen for the historical tour. This tour provides extensive historical information as you cruise to the Battle of New Orleans battlefield, where you can disembark and take advantage of more information relative to the battle provided by a park ranger and check out the visitor center there. As you cruise, the tour guide points out... More

The cruise itself is brief and not that interesting. There is food served on board at a good price, you pay drinks once and get them for all the cruise which is very good. We had a excellent narrator, funny and very competent (Mike, if I am not wrong). He explained in detail and with deep emotion all the events... More

We had a great time on this cruise during our stay in New Orleans recently. It is approximately 3 hours where you travel south down the Mississippi to the battle field where there is a very informative visitor centre. The gents on the boat are also super informative on all things relating to the Mississippi River. There is a bar... More

You don't have to be a History junkie to enjoy the history cruise. Wendall is the onboard historian who made the battle of New Orleans so interesting. HE DID A GREAT JOB!! He shared many facts about the river and the war. We visited the National Cemetery as well. You can purchase a meal on the paddle wheel boat or... More

Buffet was great! Rest of the tour was rather boring unless you're completely into history and listening to stories that don't have anything to do with what you're looking at out the window. Guy dressed up was kind of wise guy.

Creole Queen Historic Cruise is a great way to visit the Battle of New Orleans nps. Although it is very relaxing going down the Mississippi, when one gets too hot, the A/C is cranked inside. This is all very enjoyable, but what really stood out on the cruise was the historian Charles. A resident and survivor from Katrina, I learned... More
