We were the first pick up for this tour. The tour was good but the driver, Darrell or Darren, was rude to us and his driving was questionable. He blew his horn every few minutes because people weren't going fast enough or didn't slow down to let him in. Being in the front seat was scary. We were told not... More

We took this tour at the beginning of our New Orleans stay, and that was a good decision. Because the bus is small, it can go to places in the French Quarter that a larger vehicle cannot access. Our guide and driver (Darren I think) was entertaining and knowledgeable. He gave us a history lesson and took us to places... More

We did the tour our last day in New Orleans but, it was a great way to see the city otherwise, we would have never left The French Quarter. The Groupon says that we would see the Ninth Ward but, as the tour guide said, the people in the area were tired of tourists coming through their neighborhood. Other than,... More

I took this tour on Monday, our first full day in NO and it a very nice way to get acquainted with the city and its history. We had a Groupon for the tour, so made it a great bargain.

With so much planned to do on our vacation, this was a great way to get a sense, feel and perspective of the city, so we took this tour on our first day in New Orleans. Tour bus picked us up right at our hotel as scheduled and thus began a full three hour ride hitting many of the neighborhoods,... More

Well, this excursion started off on the wrong foot, in that the driver was supposed to pick us up at a certain place, and didn't. I have a serious medical condition, and was forced to walk 3 blocks to find the tour bus, then stood in the hot sun for another fifteen minutes. We then proceeded on the tour. The... More

We had a great tour with Ray. He was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and funny! He shared some interesting personal stories about things he was showing us while telling us the historical information. Highly recommend!

We were picked up by Cafe du Monde exactly on time and taken on a most interesting tour for 4 hours which covered every aspect of Nola from the greats of jazz to the depths of Katrina. Our driver / guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable and this is something not to be missed for the first time visitor

Haven't yet taken this tour but whoever answers the phone is anything but helpful, told me to find my own pickup information, really, rude!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
