2,878 reviews
New Orleans is infamous for its spooky past, filled with tales of voodoo, vampires, ghosts, and witches. During this walking tour, save time with a guide who knows the quickest routes around the Big Easy and brings the folklore and history of the city to life, all during the creepiest time of day—the night. Plus, a centrally located meeting point makes for a hassle-free, fun evening.

Ii it a bowling alley? Is it a restaurant/bar? Is it a dance hall? Is it a music venue? The answer is yes. This place is so funky that they stamp your hand with the word "FUNK" when you pay your cover charge. My wife and I went there on a Thursday night because we were told that Thursday's were almost always night -- and indeed it was with Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Chas providing the music. Things were pretty subdued until the first pump of the accordion sounded and the dance floor immediately filled with dancers of all legal drinking ages that seemed to come from nowhere. Obviously this was a weekly thing with a large group of people that knew each other and loved to dance no matter which partner they were on the floor with during any one number. Some of the elders were barely able to shuffle across the floor, but they never lacked for a partner and were clearly enjoying themselves. I didn't try the food, I didn't roll 1 ball toward the bowling pins, but the music was toe-tapping and the attendees were friendly and made me smile at their un-self-conscious movements across the dance floor. Check it out!

We went to this place to see the New Orleans legend Kermit Ruffins and the BBQ Swingers. Great night and nice to see another side to the city. Big shout out to the staff member who happily called us a taxi to get back to our hotel.

The first time my daughter got married my wife missed most of the festivities due to a bad back. One of our fun srops was Zydeco bowling at the R&B. It's great, they play the Zydeco dance music all night so you can dance some, drink some, and bowl away. A really, really fun place for an engagement party.
