This was fantastic! I surprised my husband for his birthday. The view was breathe taking. Robert is great at what he does. We listened to music and had cheese a crackers. It was very relaxing. It had been storming a few hours before our tour and I had called to see if they were going to cancel our reservation. Robert... More

By far the highlight of our trip. An our long gondola ride through City Park's lake. They play music, provide cheese and crackers and you can bring your own bottle of wine to drink on the ride. Very romantic and worth the price! So much more to New Orleans than Bourbon Street! If you are a couple in New Orleans,... More

My boyfriend and I went on the gondola tour through City Park and it was incredible. Robert was friendly, knowledgable, and an expert gondolier. You start out the ride in the big lake and he takes you under bridges and through smaller, more secluded sections. There were duck, geese, and swans everywhere. It was a relaxing, romantic, wonderful way to... More

Great surprise for my wife. Awesome experience. Support this business. Very romantic and Roberto is awesome and extremely professional and personable. It was both me and my wife's birthday so Roberto had the happy birthday song added to his playlist (awesome touch)

Roberto offers a unique experience in City Park. His authentic Venetian gondola complete with Italian music and a heartwarming story add to the quiet, relaxing, slow ride through the waters. What a valuable experience in our fast paced world. We had our gondola ride in February; Roberto offered blankets to keep warm. It was a two year request that my... More

The weather was beautiful on valentine's day but somewhat windy. Robert was kind and laughed with us throughout our ride through City Park. He played old school R&B, which was fitting for the occasion. On my first ride, he played Italian music, which was fine too. One of my most memorable moments was stopping under the bridge to sign our... More

A friend and I went on the gondola ride. We had an absolute wonderful time. Robert was so kind and provided lots of information for us. It was a quiet, peaceful ride away from the hustle and bustle of New Orleans. We were able to take a street car ride back to Canal St. I would highly recommend this ride.... More

Our anniversary fell on Robert's day off. I was absolutely crushed, as this gondola ride was absolutely the only thing I wanted to do on our trip to New Orleans. I contacted him through his website and he sacrificed his day off to take us out. What a great gift! While the music and food in New Orleans are difficult... More

I cannot express enough much I loved the NOLA gondola. First off, the City Park was absolutely stunning. Robert, our gondolier, was a great guide. He created a wonderful, romantic atmosphere for our ride. It's no surprise that he's witnessed over 300 proposals on his gondola! He also stopped under one of the bridges and handed us a piece of... Staying in Lakeview

Neighborhood Profile
Lakeview
Lakeview extends inland from the shores of Lake Pontchartrain with much of the area reserved for family-friendly City Park. Home to the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Besthoff Sculpture Garden, Carousel Gardens Amusement Park, and the city’s own lush Botanical Gardens, City Park is a New Orleans gem and the perfect spot for outdoor fun with as much of a mix of culture and/or amusement as you would like. Beyond City Park more great excuses to stay outside beckon, whether on land or by boat. Developed a good deal later than most other New Orleans neighborhoods, Lakeview has a distinctively different look and feel compared to other parts of the city. Fans of mid century modern design and contemporary architecture particularly enjoy leisurely drives around the residential streets of Lake Vista, Park Island and along Lakeshore Drive.
