They have tours for everyone. The sale person was very informative and able to convince us to do a bus tour. If you are not on a tight budget I recommend this place. 👍😎

Amazing way to travel around the French Quarter in New Orleans. This tour had an awesome tour guide that really tailored his approach to the people within the tour - telling us not only about the ghost legends but about the true history behind the buildings and historic people that lived in them. Groups are limited to 12 people, which... More

Perfect way to see the French Quarter and learn about its colorful past! The tour has a maximum size of 12 which makes the tour more personal. We were a group of 10 all from Vancouver, Canada visiting for a conference and so they basically made it our private tour. Our guide realized he had a group of skeptics on... More

If you want to tour the Garden District in a smaller group, this is the tour for you! Groups are limited to 12 people, which is the reason I chose Strange True Tours. We took the Garden District tour with Grey and thoroughly enjoyed it. Grey is extremely knowledgeable about all things New Orleans. The tour was the perfect blend... More

My daughter chose NOLA for her Senior Trip and we took a Garden District Tour with Grey and she was PERFECT!!! I've been to New Orleans on many occasions and never traveled outside of the French Quarter. This tour was well worth the walking. Grey is extremely informative and knows her history! I just took an excellent walking tour through New Orleans' beautiful Garden District with tour guide Grey Sweeney Perkins. We were a small group, and it was a perfect day for walking through this neighborhood with a guide who had a wealth of information, was personable, and made the history of the Garden District come alive with facts and stories... We took the Garden District Tour with Grey on a Monday morning (June 13th). We were the only 2 on the tour which was very nice, most tour companies I think would have canceled our tour for low turnout. Grey texted me that morning to make arrangements and it was very, very easy to take the bus down to the... More

We really enjoyed our tour with Loki. We learned a lot about the development of the city and some of the shady characters of the city's past. Had a great time. Loki also gave us some wonderful restaurant recommendations. Thanks again!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
