In one week, Walter Wolfman Washington and the Roadmasters, Little Freddie King, The Treme Brass Band and The Tin Men. New Orleans Music doesn't get any better than this. Free wi-fi, good drinks, friendly staff and locals. Lots of musicians hang out here, it is a great place to find out about other great music going on.

Neighborhood type bar with great local music. My friend is a local and took me on my trip as a tourist out there. The service was awesome, very friendly. Nice variety of drinks, and they have the scacereth, a local drink that has a taste of absinthe to it. Highly recommend trying one, but if you try more you are... More

We came here to watch a band that we like and got there early thinking we would get a good seat. They wouldn't let you in to the area where the band was going to play until five minutes before. Which was fine. But what got us was one of the employees (possibly manager). We went for the first show,... More

We stopped here on a rainy night after a ghost tour. Had to pay a cover charge, but the atmosphere inside was inviting, music sounded good and we wanted to get out of the rain. Had a couple of drinks at the bar. Lots of beers to choose from. The room was split in two. We stayed on the side... More

One of my favorite venues on Frenchman Street. Monday nights you can catch Glen David Andrews who puts on a show you will want to come back for time and again.

Tuesday night a fellow named Jeff recommended I visit d.b.a. on Wednesday night to see Tin Men playing at 7:00. Jeff was a chap I met at The Avenue Pub another fine drinking pub. Tin Men had a guitar, tuba, and a wash board. Their music and sense of fantastic. The bar was December uncrowded but they played as to... More

On my annual visits to New Orleans I always try to see him sing, originally at Donna's on Rampart before Katrina. Frenchman St. Is just on the other side of Esplanade from the French Quarter and an easy, safe walk from there. The place has limited seating so it pays to go there early if you don't want to stand.... More

Get there VERY early to get in line for the few seats in the music side!! We scored two bar stools so could see the stage (as short people this was important!!! LOL). Excellent performance!

We've been here 3 times. We've seen John Boutté, John Cleary, and a brass band. All of the music has been great. The drink selection is good too, but come for the great music.
