I found this small gallery by accident a few years back while wandering the streets of the French Quarter and fell in love! I was fortunate enough to meet Jamie Hayes on that visit and have him sign two of his handmade Voodoo Dolls for my granddaughter along with a children's book and several T shirts. The artwork is beautiful... More

Many years ago we visited NOLA on a business trip we wandered into the gallery and fell in love. Jamie Hayes is as much a part of NOLA as poor boys and jazz. We started a collection of his work that day and many years later we still collect his work but now we live close to New Orleans so... More

Have always just walked by when ever I was in NO, however, this time we decided to go in and look. Lots of color and interesting designs. Saw several items I would like to have for my home. Next time for sure.

Walking back to the hotel from breakfast at Stanley's, my husband and I noticed a colorful window to a shop on Chartres Street that just drew us in. We went in and found the amazing Jamie Hayes Gallery. We looked around at all of the exquisitely colorful artwork and jewelry, etc. We decided to purchases a print called "Chili Pepper... More

Stumbled upon Jamie Hayes's gallery on a walk back to our hotel. The artwork in the window caught our eye, so we decided to venture on in. Not only were Jamie Hayes's artwork pieces beautifully unique and brilliant, we were greeted by the artist, himself! Jamie shared stories with us about his life, travels, and art. Our experience at this... More

Everyone who comes to visit me gets a tour of the Jamie Hayes Gallery, because I know it's a sure hit. Jamie Hayes' art tells a colorful and whimsical story of New Orleans that visitors should not miss. His prints are very desirable and affordable, and he has originals available also. There are other things in his gallery too, like... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
