We did the cemetery tour and it was incredible. We are history buffs and our guide was very knowledgeable. We learned so much about the history of the French Quarter that amazed us. It was a lot of walking and standing so wear appropriate shoes. Also, the bar has a bogo hurricane deal too good to pass up!

So, NOLA has a ton of history, obviously, and part of that history is a series of stories/legends/etc. that relate to vampires, ghosts, and other supernatural phenomena. This tour (and the others) is a walking tour that takes you to the locations of those events and shares - with some flair, ideally - what those legends and myths are. More... More

A good tour around the French Quarter. Tour guide was pleasant and well-informed. A good history of the area and hauntings. Easy pace with frequent stops.

If you want some history of New Orleans told by intelligent and knowledgable tour guides, try French Quarter Phantoms. We took the Saints and Sinners tour to fill in an hour and a half before leaving NO. We were glad we did. Our tour guide answered any question we threw at him and gave more. They factored in a stop... More

Tonight my group of 4 went on the ghost and vampire tour lead by Aubrey. The tour contained interesting factual historical information plus local legends and Aubrey`s own experiences. She spoke loudly and clearly and made sure the whole group stayed together. She relayed the information in an entertaining way and kept the entire group engaged. She threw in what... More

I did the cemetery tour with Luke back at the beginning of October, after purchasing a ticket on Groupon and reading a few tripadvisor reviews. I was touring the city solo and felt like part of the group on this tour! The best thing I can say about Luke is that he was normal. He was a wealth of knowledge.... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
