Using our Sightseeing Pass we took stop #12 from the Hop On/Hop Off bus, it was so easy as the tour started at the same location as the stop. Our guide Page was on time and quickly pointing some important safety tips while walking the...More
We had an awesome tour of the French Quarter. Erin was a great your guide. She was funny and informational. We did not capture any ghost photos but had a great time. Erin even walked with us to Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop after the tour and...More
This was an AWESOME tour. Our guide, Luke, was both entertaining and informative. He knows his stuff too. Some questions were tough! I’ve done a ghost tour in the past, nothing there set me on a trail to find out more. This time I was...More
My group and I really enjoyed the walking tour. While we didn't get to actually go into any of the buildings, what made it so enjoyable was our tour guide Christo's knowledge and enthusiasm when telling the spooky stories. It was obvious that he did...More
Erin led us around for a lovely leisurely stroll with quick info on culture, NOLA traditions, architecture, and even local celebrities. Right after stopping at John Goodman’s house he walked his dog right up to our group! Even without that stroke of luck, would hands-down...More
We had a great time on the walking tour! Bobby was fun and entertaining. There was a parade going on so we couldn't always stand right at the building Bobby was talking about but he shared some great stories.
Justin was our guide, and he did a great job of showing us this historic neighborhood. The tour shared the complicated history of this area, and also its current changes.

One of my favorite tours in New Orleans is the French Quarter Phantom’s Walking Ghost & Vampire Tour! It’s a fun, creepy, historical walking tour, so be sure to dress warm, wear comfortable shoes, bring an umbrella in case of rain & have your cameras...More
Seems they are in the practice of overbooking their tours. We bought tickets in advance online and when we showed up for our 1pm tour there was only room for one of us. There was no effort to accommodate as they are restricted to how...More
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the
Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
What are the cannot miss tours while in NOLA?? (3 Replies)
We are planning a trip to Nola this Sept. There are so many tour companies. What is the best, most authentic haunted tour???? I seem to be leaning toward French Quarter Phantoms.

Do not consider that you must plan your New Orleans trip around tours. It is a very exciting city to learn and explore on your own. With some minimal reading online or in guide biooks you can learn as much as the typical guide has memorized and it is much more fun discovering the charm of New Orleans on your own.

Opinions on Specific Tours and Museums? (23 Replies)
There are a few tours and museums I'm considering for our brief NO visit next week, and I was wondering if any of the lovely TA folk had opinions on any of them! I'm thinking of taking an evening "haunted" tour. I'd prefer one that's more about history and storytelling than one that involves costumes and the hunt for "orb" pictures. Has anyone done the haunted tours through French Quarter Phantoms or Historic New Orleans Tours? How about Le Monde Creole Tours? I toured Laura plantation...More

Walking Tour Through the Tremé French Quarter Phantoms Spend $10 and go on a walking tour through the Tremé, led by French Quarter Phantoms (regularly $22). The one-mile tour hits all the highlights, including St. Augustine Church and the Tomb of the Unknown Slave, and a knowledgeable and energetic historian will showcase lesser-known factoids about the most vibrant area in an already vibrant city. Anybody done this tour ??? Opinoins ???
