Angela was our guide. She was very entertaining and knowledgeable. we learned a lot about the history and the development of Jazz. Angela also brought along music to complement each stop. We lucked out with Angela, since a native regaled us with some of the other not so great tour guides we could have had. Thanks Angela for a wonderful... More

The tour was awesome from start to finish. Duckie was the best tour guide I've ever had anywhere for anything. He was very excited about every story he told, was incredibly funny, and was excellent about making sure everyone was safe and having a good time. You couldn't ask for a more fun guide.

I would say I expected more. I would say I was not scared in the slightest. I would suggest that there be less movie trivia and more history of NOLA during the tour. My guide, sorry forgot her name, was a theatre major and as stated knew how to project. She was very friendly and kept everyone in line. This... More

We did the 8 pm tour with Stella. She was GREAT! She gave us tons of history, ghost and vampire stories, and was able to answer all our questions. This is a fast paced walking tour so wear comfy shoes.

Amazing that no one here has mentioned the Saints and Sinners tour with Justin which is amazingly fun. Justin tells it how it is along with even debunking some of the lies other tour guides tell. The stories are R-Rates, which Justin let's you know right off the back so you won't be so uncomfortable with the tour later on.... More

A great tour! D'artagnan was such a cool tour guide. She was really funny, and reput a lot of energy into the stories. Definitely would recommend for anyone interested in the ghostly past of New Orleans. Really creepy. The only downfall is that we thought we'd actually entering some places but the tour was all done from the sidewalks. But... More

My friend and I took the St. Louis cemetery tour (on Saturday, October 8th) as well as the walking vampire & ghost tour (on Sunday, October 9th). Both tours were fantastic. We learned a lot as the tour guides were both knowledgeable and entertaining. I would highly recommend these tours.

We had a wonderful, though VERY hot, tour of the cemetery. I had never been to the cemetery before and enjoyed all of Stephen's humor and knowledge. Well worth the cost! Be sure to look for groupons, too. Note: bring water and an umbrella. Trust me. It is hot and you'll be in direct sunlight and will welcome the shade.

If you like a little adventure, don't mind walking, whether or not you believe in ghosts, the Ghosts and Vampires Night Tour was sooo much fun! Luke was our guide and he was very entertaining and incredibly knowledgable about both history and the paranormal. His passion for telling the stories is obvious and it seems as if you are sitting... Okay, really though. We booked a cemetery tour and Stephen was our guide. He's awesome. He's a NOLA native and full of history, info, stories, and charm to keep you engaged the whole time. The afternoon was reeeeeeeally hot, so he made sure to keep us in the shade as much as possible. He happily recommended a great place to... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
