Lisa was great! Super informative, upbeat, and had answers to all of our questions. You can tell she's great at what she does because everyone at all of our stops knew her and really made our experience special. It was totally well worth it!

What a great tour/ experience with our guide Kaffey! We chose the Lower Garden District food tour because of the variety of food and the location and Kaffey did not disappoint ! We learned about architecture, history and of course the history of the food! The restaurant choices were excellent and very well coordinated. Kaffey had our next tastings ordered in advance at each stop. The Lower Garden District is beautiful, full of history and far removed from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter.
We highly recommend this food tour and even more highly recommend our experience with Kaffey!

What exceptional walking Food Tour . Lisa was amazing friendly and made us feel as if we were just family walking and talking on the street. The unique knowledge of not only food history but her love of history shined through . The restaurants were all amazing. The food was outstanding, but definitely recommended to anyone and would love to go again.

Excellent adventure. It was nice to get outside of the Quartet and see another piece of NOLA. This was a great way to mix in good good w great history lessons. Grace was a great guide. She was full if energy, passion, and knowledge. I strongly recommend this adventure whether you are in town for a short or extended visit. The mansions alone are worth the reasonable cost.

Great tour and the portions of food are big!! You will end the tour full and happy! Our tour guide Kaffy was very knowledgeable of the area and history. She had a lot of recommendations for other places to eat and visit. Highly recommend this tour!

We went on two foodie tours in the French Quarter that weekend. One with Sidewalk Food Tours and the other with a competitor. Both had Po Boy sandwiches, but this one was better. It had gravy and an overall better taste. Both had Muffaletta sandwiches, and they were about even. However, this tour also included grilled oysters, in tons of garlic seasoned butter, and for someone with an aversion to oysters, I have to say, they were pretty tasty. This tour also ended with “bbq” shrimp, followed by bread pudding with tons of whip cream. Both were amazing. And the best part of the tour was Grace, a part-time actress and very pleasant, knowledge, attractive, guide. Her communication skills were top notch and at the end, we felt like we knew a lot more about New Orleans, how it came to be, and why we all love it so.

Food tours are now a must for every adult trip we take. This was a nice introduction to the culture and cuisine of the French Quarter. Unfortunately, we could only plan it for the departure day on our first trip to this city. It would have been WAY more helpful on the front end. The guide was knowledgeable about the places we visited. He had lots of recommendations that we wish we could have followed up on.
Based on the food selections, timing and lack of options for trying out signature drinks (at our cost)- and feeling like the portions at several restaurants should have been divided more easily with the guide and the group- (ie— 3 pieces of bread for 5 people on one end of a table with no clear way to divide evenly....) - I wouldn’t give quite 5 stars. Would also love to see a Jambalaya or Gumbo or something else instead of 2 heavy meaty sandwiches back to back to diversify the experience. Another stop at a place where we could sample and maybe buy spices would have been cool and I have enjoyed that on other food tours. Overall- DO A FOOD TOUR! Everywhere you go!- on the first day!

We love the Garden District and the beautiful architecture, gardens, etc. We had previously walked down Magazine and read many of the menus at the huge variety of restaurants. Getting to sample the work of creative chefs and innovative business people was fantastic. Who knew a baloney sandwich could taste so great or that a pastrami sandwich outside of NYC could make you take a whole new look at Deli's. Not to mention those donuts. Needless to say we loved the food. Our guide was delightful. As a resident of the Garden District her insight and perspective was both interesting and informative. It's always fun to have a friend share a great food find! This tour is exactly that experience times 5! Fun group and great food. We have a list of great places to revisit the next time we are in NOLA!

This was our first time in New Orleans, and we wanted a tour that would acclimate us to the area, give us some history, and allow us to sample of the area’s cuisine. We had a wonderful time with our guide, Lisa. She was very personable and warm with our group and also with everyone she encountered. We tasted six items at five different stops. The portions were plentiful, and the food was fun. Lisa provided nice explanations of what we were eating and even how it was prepared. Lisa provided some history of the area as we toured, and we would have enjoyed learning even more.
