Interesting local business
Feb 2020 • Couples
The guy who gave the tour was really knowledgeable about the entire process of creating the product (expected, seeing as the entire business is run by only two people). Getting to see all the different aspects of rum is cool, and the tasting is great. It's a little bit of a hassle to get to if you don't have a car, but well worth it! Next door is a chocolatier and a local cidery, and both are worth some time!

Fun time learning about making rum
Feb 2020
It was most interesting to see how this small two man operation makes rum. We have toured other distilleries but not learned as much basically because it is a small operation and you can better see how everything works. They do a great job explaining the process. Other tours it is easy to get lost among all of the piping, pumps and big tanks. That is not the case here.

It is refreshing to see the entrepreneurial spirit being practiced successfully My complements to these two guys who are taking advantage of what makes this country great.

Great personal tour!!
Feb 2020
Having visited many large, name-brand whiskey and bourbon distilleries in the past, my fiance and I have a great love for the processes and history of distillation of fine spirits. She has a love of rum and had never visited a rum distillery. We were in town for our wedding and looking for interesting tours. We arrived and found that we were the only ones signed up for our tour time, as the others were booked solid. Was a great "couples" tour for us! The proprietors were on hand, as it is ran by only two friends. They have really nailed down the processes. The tastings of their brands were wonderful, especially the higher proof liqueur. We totally recommend taking this tour!

Great to do with friends or parents

The owner was funny and well informed. Learned a lot from this and happy to support small businesses. There is a lot of passion for what they do. Went home with a botox of their Amer, rum- like liqueur. Will be looking out for their upcoming products.

When you walk up on the property the smell of alcohol hits you so you know you’re in the right place !! it’s a small factory very intimate and personal but the tour guides who are there also ken the factory so in that they were very informative about Rum and how it was made ....they showed us the process and how they do what they do ....there was also a small rum tasting after the tour was over which they let us take small samples of each of their premium rums...and I had to say that by the time that I Left I was a little tipsy !!! it’s not something I would probably return to unless they incorporated someType of activities or something for the guest to do to interact with the host and other guest on the rum tour because it was kind of boring

My husband and I had a wonderful time! I am not really a rum drinker but we learned so much and my husband thought the rums were great. It was a great experience I would highley recommend! They only hard part is that they are behind a few building so it was a little hard finding them but they do hve a sign out front to try to help they are behind the choclate store

Best Rum Distillery in New Orleans
Feb 2019 • Couples
We had tried the Rum in a good cocktail bar called the Victory and loved it so wanted to visit the distillery. They offer tours Wednesday to Saturday but we were flying home on Tuesday so just called on the off-chance and the co-owner ( sorry, not sure if Andrew or Patrick) was kind enough to talk us through the history of the business and let us sample all the rums- which were excellent.
No gimmicks , just really good Rum.
Highly recommended.

A lovely tour!
Jan 2019 • Friends
I was lucky enough to go on a private tour on a Saturday afternoon with a few friends. Co-owner Andrew was our guide and he did a fantastic job telling us all about the rum making process and explained everything in an easy-to-understand manner. Roulaison is a small and new rum distilling company and, I'll be honest, I know nothing about liquor production. Everything here is handcrafted and it's all local. All of this was pretty new to me, but I found the tour very interesting and Andrew was extremely nice and was happy to answer questions.

After the tour came the tasting and I'm not a liquor drinker, so this got real interesting. I can usually handle liquor if it's mixed with something, so I was thankful for the teeniest little thimble full of samples that we had to try. Some of the rum burned, but that's probably because I "can't hang". By the third taste I had to reach for water- I'm such a lightweight. I did, however, really enjoy the rum liqueur that was offered, mainly because it had some sweetness to it. You can actually have them mix you up a cocktail, if that's your thing.

I highly recommend the tour, especially if you like learning about new things and how things are made.

Louisiana’ 2nd smallest Rum Distillery!
Feb 2019 • Friends
Looking for something different to do in New Orleans. This is a small rum distillery run by two young guys - Andrew & Patrick. The tour is very interesting and informative about distilling and about the history of Rum & Sugar in New Orleans. This is the 2nd smallest distillery in the state, but these guys are producing some pretty flavorful rims!

They offer a tour with tasting for $10 per person. They also have just the tasting. You can purchase bottles there ranging from $40 to $90. They also produce a couple true rum liquors that are delicious.
