About
Shard Shop is a friendly Make-Your-Own-Art boutique located on Magazine Street in New Orleans. We are known for our innovative use of shards of glass that we cover in a glossy resin. Guests pick out a pre-painted canvas and use glass to create a masterpiece. Our staff does all of the finishing work and you pick it up the next day or we'll ship it to your home. The resulting art is a beautiful piece that promises to be treasured for years to come. We are also BYOB-friendly and offer party packages for birthdays, girls' night out, family reunions, team building, and more. I came upon this gem on accident going to the eyeglasses store next door. I was intrigued and once inside the art I saw was amazing. The concept of using broken glass and the creativity behind it all is amazing to me. The Owner is so kind and accommodating; it was really a pleasure meeting her. I purchased several pieces and will stop by when I’m in town again from Lake Charles. Thank you again ❤️⚜️

I heard about this amazing place from a friend and decided to schedule a class for my two teenage granddaughters and myself. From the minute we walked in and saw the brilliant colors of glass, beads, and pearls to choose from we were excited to get started. The Shard Shop is definitely a place to visit and be creative

This was such a fun experience. Laurie was so amazing and helpful! There are so many varieties of glass, mirrors, beads, shells, bottles and canvases to choose from- the design potential’s are limitless. There’s a design book of ideas and lots of artwork on the wall to get ideas from. Would be a great activity for any ages! Highly recommend!!

I took my 3 sons (ages 14, 12, and 9) here and they had a great time designing a Nike swoosh, a fish, and a king cake! Also, everyone who works here is extremely patient, creative and helpful! I love how each of my boys' pieces turned out. They have them displayed on little easels in each of their bedrooms. Thanks, Shard Shop!

We took our Brownie Troop here for an art class and the results were amazing! But it's a really adorable facility with creative space for adults, tourists and visitors (take home your own art souvenir!), and girls nights/days. It's so laid back, they even have happy hour on Friday nights. Talented staff to assist. I'll definitely be back! I'm hooked!

The Brownie troop girls were so sweet and enjoyed having them at the Shard Shop NOLA! Hope to have all of you back again soon for kid classes or for a big girls night out on our Happy Hour Fridays!

We visited on a Monday afternoon. All 3 of my kids were able to pick any design, color and style of project they wanted.
This was an extremely comfortable setting with a kind, knowledgeable staff to help us through the project. My toddler made me nervous but the staff was kind enough to let her draw and create her own special project.
We will definitely be back again on our next visit to New Orleans.

I took my mom to the Shard Shop for a birthday surprise, not really knowing what to expect, but sure glad we did this!
Laurie, the manager, was so thoughtful, creative and patient with us as we selected our theme and gathered our glass shards. And as we got to work on our creations, Laurie was there to offer a helping hand when needed. She was great! The atmosphere was super relaxed and fun, and my mom and I both loved it! This was the perfect way to celebrate her birthday, and now we have our truly one of a kind works of art to remember that special day together.
