An intelligent and enjoyable tour. Arthur has a wealth of knowledge regarding history, economics ,southern culture, and the history of New Orleans. This is not a canned tour. His depth of knowledge is displayed by his ability to answer diverse questions regarding almost anything to do with the garden district, from celebrity ownership of mansions, to the financial systems that lead to the rise and fall of the garden district. Highly recommended.

This was my 2nd tour with Ask Arthur. I took his St. Louis Cemetery Tour last year and had a marvelous time. I had no idea of the complexities and mystery of the New Orleans burial rites and Arthur explained everything clearly with amazing details. I had a friend in from the mid west this weekend and he wanted to know more about the Garden District. I immediately thought of Arthur. I was thrilled to find out that he is giving tours again now that tourists are returning to our city. The tour was amazing. I've lived in New Orleans for ten years and I had no real knowledge about the Garden District. Arthur was a wealth of information and he was hysterically funny at the same time. His depth of knowledge about the history, architecture and society (including great personal stories of some of the early inhabitants of the neighborhood) kept us mesmerized for an hour and a half. If you are interested in any aspect of this great old city, Arthur is your man.

Arthur's tour was wonderful. He is a true raconteur, wrapping history in a charming, humorous, and informational tour. The leisurely stroll past landmark homes that silently tell the facinating history of New Orleans was paced with frequent stops to explore in-depth, the history, influences and outcomes that shape what is the city today. He ties it all together and makes clear how New Orleans grew, prospered, fell and revived to be the facinating city it is today. I highly recommend this tour and it's personable and charming guide.

Arthur has so much knowledge and information to convey. If you asked a question, he was able to provide detailed information. You could see other guides listening and learning from his presentations. Highly recommend!

We called Arthur on short notice and even with limited availability he accommodated us on a walking tour of St. Louis I Cemetery. He tailored it to our time frame and personal interests. We learned more than about cemeteries but about the history and culture of New Orleans and its residents, rounding out our visit to the city with a depth of information we had not expected from "just" a cemetery tour. Highly recommended for a personal tour of NOLA!
