Really fun and informative tour!

We booked the Pirates of the Quarter tour as part of our company's annual face to facet get together. Our guide (The Captain) was energetic, entertaining, funny, and knowledgeable. He brought the pirate history of the French Quarter to life for all of us. He "read" our group perfectly, determining how much fun he could have with us, making the tour interactive and pulling us all in.

Out of all the things we did as a group during our visit to New Orleans, this is the thing I am 100% certain our team will talk about for a long time. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Very enjoyable and knowledgeable!

We greatly enjoyed our tour. Our children (ages 11, 8 and 5) found it fun and entertaining. The tour was well put together and packed full of interesting facts about the city and the history of piracy in the French Quater. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting New Orleans.

Recommend to visit The Captain

My husband and I were looking for something fun and historical. What is more fun than pirates. We met The Captain at their new shop and were immediately impressed. He wasn't your stereotypical pirate but was more historical. He lead us around talking about the history of pirates (specifically the Lafitte Brothers)and their roles in shaping New Orleans. I won't ruin it for you but man did we learn things that were interesting and not taught in school. We highly recommend the tour.

Excellent hidden gem of a tour

Everyone raves about New Orleans ghost tours but I’m telling you now, if you only have time for one walking tour in the city, you should go with this one. The Captain is an epic storyteller, excellent showman, and font of historical knowledge. We learned so much about the history of piracy in New Orleans and their role in the War of 1812. Fascinating stuff! And it will forever reshape how I watch pirate movies and encounter Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland

So freaking good!

This was hands down one of the best tours I have ever been on. It was a perfect mesh of performance and information. The content was VERY interesting and it shows that these guys know how to tell a story because it kept you trying to piece bits of the story together as you go with such a good payoff. It was also made better for me seeing how in to the content matter our guide was. 1000% worth the money and 2 hours of your life, because it flew by. Cannot recommend enough.

We came across the Pirates of the Quarter while wandering the French Quarter and decided to take the next afternoon's tour. Our guide the Captain was a wonderful knowledgeable guide. He kept the story going even with an 11 and 14 year old and helped us understand both the battle of New Orleans and the influence of piracy in the 1800s in the middle of Louisiana's history.

Fantastic Tour with the Quartermaster!

We booked a morning tour and were the only two people (a morning the week after Mardi Gras does draw a smaller crowd than most). The Quartermaster nonetheless presented the story of the Pirates of the Quarter with detailed imagery and humor that made for a wonderful history lesson with a lot of laughs. The history was very fascinating and I enjoyed the tour greatly! The Quartermaster personalized the tour to our needs and answered our many questions with expertise. He really knows his stuff! 10/10 would recommend!

Excellent guides for summer camp field trip

We brought 30 kids with a summer camp and they split us into two groups- one to talk about Creole women and their contributions to New Orleans history and the other group learned about how pirates shaped New Orleans history, and then we swapped so both groups got both guides and both histories. Our kids were ages 8-12 and they loved it. The adult chaperones also enjoyed themselves, and would love to go back for more pirate history and to catch what was lost when they trimmed down the pirate info to be more age-appropriate. Fascinating facts, knowledgeable guides. Excellent tour.

A pirate's life for us

.So....this tour is hands down the best. My husband and I have been on many tours in the quarter and this is our favorite This tour is full of history, pirates, history and more Pirates accompanied by visits to great related locations.The information shared with us was not only informative but facinating... and so well delivered! Our pirate guide easily kept the attention of our party... including my 16 year old for the entire tour. We were all sad the tour ended and could have spent hours and hours with our guide soaking up the pirates life in "old world Nola ". We absolutely loved everything. Very knowledgeable! Whether you love pirates, love history or just love strolling the quarter with the coolest looking guide in town.. this is your TOUR. Take it.. you wont regret it. 10 stars

Tour was great, and the guide was very knowledgeable. He was able to give alot of information and history in a fun, easy to follow format. If you like pirates or just want to learn more about new orleans history I definitely recommend!
