My husband and I were looking for a tour of St. Louis Cemetery #1 and found Spirit Tours. We booked with just a couple hours notice. Judy was the perfect tour guide for us. She packed as much history into this tour as humanly possible and was as excited about NOLA history as we are. She was professional but fun.... More

Our tour was great - and Judy was the best! She accommodated our schedule by hitting the highlights while getting us to our next destination on time. She answered all our questions and had such great tidbits about all the graves, the history or cemeteries in NOLA, and the ongoing use of them. She was engaging, high energy, and really... More

My friends and I ended our weekend trip in NOLA with a cemetery tour. Luckily, we had Judy for our tour guide and she was AMAZING! She was very well-informed about the historical background of the cemetery. She was personable, so she made asking questions and branching off to relevant conversations more comfortable. She was also super funny. After the... More

Our tour guide, Judy, was very knowledgeable about the rich history of the city and its eccentricities. She regaled us with tales and my wife, son, and I left with much more knowledge than when we started.

We took the cemetery tour with Ms. Judy. She is a wonderful historian, and storyteller. It was our first visit to New Orleans, and she really gave us a fascinating overview of the city's history and unique culture.

My friends and I just arrived in NOLA and booked a tour with Spirit for the St. Louis Cemetery Number One. Not only did we luck out because the tour ended up with just my friends and I as the group, but also we got Judy as our guide. She was so incredibly knowledgeable about, honestly, everything. (I even overheard... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
