My husband and I took Royal Walking Tours Ghost Tour and we both loved our tour. Our guide, Jonathan, was excellent, friendly and very knowledgable. The tour combines the history of New Orleans with many haunting stories of what has happened in the city. We learned a lot and got a little creeped out a few times! Jonathan sticks to the historic facts of what actually happened, which we appreciated a lot. We were not looking for a tour that told us embellished stories of what might have happened, so this tour was perfect for us. We got to stop in at Turtle Bay to get a drink and sit down for a few minutes while Jonathan told us a haunted story related to Turtle Bay. The duration and walking distance of the tour were just right. This is an excellent tour that we both highly recommend to anyone visiting or living in New Orleans.

Jonathan was extremely knowledgeable about the area and able to point out intricate details of the buildings and culture of the city as a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He did a great job combining as much information into each stop as he could so we were not walking for the whole 2 hours. Definitely recommend!

What a wonderful experience for my first NoLa trip! Jonathan was a wonderful tour guide and his knowledge and love of the city was contagious. I took the tour my first night so I could get acquainted with the area but what I received was great insight Jonathan gave to navigate the city and great places to see. This was a historical, in-depth tour not one with gimmicky actors putting on a show. I even re-traced the whole tour route the next day to see it in the daytime. I cannot recommend Jonathan and Royal Walking Tours enough. What an awesome experience. Thanks again.

My wife and I just did the "History and Culture" Tour with Jonathan. This was honestly the best tour we could have done to understand the rich history and culture in the French Quarter. If it's your first time, schedule this early on in your stay! The things you learn will stick with you as you wander around the French Quarter the rest of your stay.
Jonathan is not only a native born and raised in New Orleans, but is a passionate scholar who takes the history of his city very seriously. He's so enthusiastic about sharing it with others!
Not only will you get a very comprehensive overview of the French Quarter, but you'll see so many things like architecture, key historic buildings, ships sailing on the Mississippi, and so many more little secrets you'll miss.
We did over 7 tours while in New Orleans, and this was by far the richest, most accurate, and historically complete tour we took. I'd go as far as to say it's a must!

My husband and I really enjoyed our tour. We learned so much about the history of New Orleans on our first day here. Jonathan was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We were in a small group since the French Quarter is basically empty (besides Bourboun st) due to the pandemic going on. Jonathan answered all our questions and was amazing I recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn about New Orleans history.

Our guide, Jonathan, had an encyclopedic knowledge of New Orleans and all the various stops on the tour. I really felt like we gained a working idea of the history of the town in only two hours. Really impressive.

My husband and I took a private tour with Johnathan and had a wonderful time. I have done other walking tours in New Orleans but I especially appreciated this tour because of the rich history provided. There were ghost stories but less theatrics than other tours. It seemed genuine, was very informative, but was also very fun! We stopped for a drink at a haunted bar halfway through, and Johnathan was kind enough to spend extra time with us to answer all of our questions. His knowledge and passion for the city’s curious history are evident! We would highly recommend!!

Jonathan is our guide. He is knowledgeable about New Orleans. Due to the other group didn’t show, our tour became a private tour in a chilly and raining night. But, Jonathan still provided us a high quality in a whole trip. He told us many stories of the houses and their owners story, and told us a lot of New Orleans. We had a very good time. Thanks, Jonathan.

Jonathan is a one man show and a local businessman.
Being a NOLA Native he knows his history of the French Quarter and a good ghost story or two.
Janet and I took his tour and learned so much about The French Quarter. From it's iconic buildings, streets, and people, to stories from it's rough past.
Bring some comfortable shoes and a love for history.
Thank you Jonathan!

Can anyone tell me where the tour ends? Id like to pick a parking spot close to the end.
