Address
Neighborhood: French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

Very nice shop, friendly staff
Jun 2021 • Family
This is a really nice (air conditioned) shop with lots of locally handmade gifts with a vampire/goth theme. The shop keeper is very friendly and had great recommendations on the products they carry. I brought my kids (ages 10 and 11) here and they enjoyed taking a photo in the wooden coffin inside the shop and smelling all the candles and checking out the wares. The shop keeper joked around with my little boy about real vampires coming to the shop and he got a kick out of that! We bought some really nice organic fair trade tea, which I was told is also served at the Vampyre Cafe next door. We'll definitely have to try the cafe next time we're in town.

This was one of my most excited places I had on my list to visit. However, once there I found it very lack luster and left without purchasing anything

A group of my friends and I traveled from Ohio to visit New Orleans and made sure to stop by the shop. We met Steven who was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and easy on the eyes. I can tell he is very passionate about his job. I bought the book he suggested to me which I am excited to read. My only complaint was that Steven didn’t offer to be my Sire…

I flipped out when I saw that the Boutique du Vampyre was selling a Fang mask! I LOVE it! I bought one for me and one for my daughter.

Must see
Mar 2021 • Solo
This is a must see stop on your New Orleans journey. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. The selection of items is unique and highlights the talents of local artists, writers, and jewelers. I make sure to stop in each time I visit the city and when I need that little bit of NOLA energy when I am not in town, their commitment to customer service and satisfaction extends to their online store and shipping services. If you are looking to have custom made fangs to complete a costume or release your own inner vampire, you can’t go wrong with Dark Awakenings fangs. Maven Lore is a consummate professional fangsmith who will create the finest set of custom fit fangs to cater to your needs. Five stars for this boutique!

This is a fun shop with cool vampire themed items/merch. They sell books on NOLA vampire lore, and have a vampire book club!

Vampire Mustard?
Nov 2020 • Friends
In November, 2019, I was fortunate enough to visit Boutique du Vampyre in person. The shop features a variety of books, clothing, & even food! Of all the places I've thought I'd purchase mustard, a vampire themed shop was not one of them. But OH MY GOSH the Creole Noctra mustard was so delicious! I was just able to place an order online for another jar & I can't wait for it to get here. I also can't wait to visit this shop again in person. Thanks for all you do, Vampires!
