The area
Address
Neighborhood: French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

Crazy-good happy hour!

Great atmosphere! We sat at the bar and enjoyed talking with other patrons. The drinks are very affordable during happy hour. Highly recommend their "Champagne Charlotte!"

Skunky Beer - Okay Food
Nov 2019
My wife drinks cocktails and wine. I do not. I prefer beer. I ordered two beers here and both were skunky. In short - DO NOT ORDER BEER HERE.
Food was fine - I had the boudin scotch egg (but how would anyone mess up a scotch egg?) and my wife had the shrimp and grits - which she liked.

Happy Hour is the best.

Always come to The Bombay Club. The Poutine was amazing. The tacos were so tasty. One of the best happy hour place in New Orleans.

Expert cocktails, great staff
Jun 2019 • Couples
Happened into this place just because it happened to be in our hotel, we had just got in, and it was happy hour. It’s a fantastic happy hour; the black eyed pea hummus was great. But it’s the cocktails that are the reason to come back. I mean, some of their insanely large selection are really pretty intricate to put together, and each one was perfect. Try a Rattlesnake. I mean it. The only downside is that the nightly live music is a little hit or miss (sorry fake Randy Newman guy).

Coming back with colleagues in a few months, and excited to have a place I’m geniunely excited to bring them.

Great meal and music

Excellent and unique cocktails and a simple but extraordinary menu. Recommend the shrimp and grits as well as the scotch eggs to start the meal. Service was spot on and the jazz trio was exquisite. Highly recommend for families, couples, or solo.

Great Happy Hour
Feb 2019 • Friends
We stopped in for a happy hour on advice from a friend. The drinks were large & the service was fantastic. We ended up getting a delicious burger with a perfectly grilled bun & fries. Its tucked in off the street a bit so not as crowded as other places.

Great Happy Hour

Popped into Bombay club for happy hour and jazz. Turns out jazz didn’t start until 8 and happy hour ends at 7. But we enjoyed both. Great drinks and food on happy hour and really enjoyed the King Cake dessert.

Amazing Saturday & Sunday Brunch!
Jan 2019 • Couples
We just happened upon the Bombay Club while we were looking for a brunch spot. It’s tucked away in the back of a little courtyard on Conti St. This was one of the best brunches we had the entire trip. I had the smoked duck and andouille gumbo and beer battered crab and chorizo beignets. The rest of my group had the heavenly hash and the Bombay breakfast with an amazingly giant Caesar salad. Everything was awesome and the best part: 10$ bottomless mimosas or Rose, which you can also get one to go when you’re ready to leave. The atmosphere is so charming. Everything looks like and old British library or lounge club. Our waiter was Forrest and he was awesome! They don’t seem to overly advertise their weekend brunch, but it really is a must do if your in the French Quarter for the weekend!

Absolutely fantastic Christmas Day reveillon lunch
Dec 2018 • Friends
Wonderful three-course meal. We had the winter squash soup with creme fraiche (and chili-infused olive oil, mmm!), flounder with risotto, and egg nog creme brulee. I also had the BEST Scotch egg I have EVER had in my life (and I lived in the UK for five years), and a delectable orange-y house special martini, plus a nice glass of wine. Excellent, excellent fine dining, wonderful cocktail and wine list and knowledgeable, friendly bartenders, professional wait staff, and a great, cozy atmosphere (we were seated in a curtained booth, facing the bar, and felt a bit like Roman senators). Will be back!
