This is a must stop for anyone travelling to New Orleans that enjoy any type of music. They specialize in local music but carry a range of popular music as well. Linda was especially helpful in finding the cds and vinyl I was looking for. Always friendly and helpful. I go here every time I visit New Orleans.

Must stop for vinyl collectors and music fans. Good prices and the friendly staff who had extensive knowledge of New Orleans music. Don't forget to check out the stores "cool cat" lazing in the store window.

Wait ... you mean, I can bring my beer into the record store and drink it while browsing through miles and miles of incredible music ranging the gamut from new to comparatively ancient, from cajun to jazz to blues to funk? Can I please stay here forever?!

This place will bring back so many memories if you are 40+. My wife had to remind me of our travel budget because I was going crazy over the oldies in CD's & records that I wanted for my collection at home. All kinds of music right here along with very affordable prices. Nice people working there.

Welcome to music heaven! The day I came here the large selection of music books was unfortunately blocked off because they were hosting ALL DAY LIVE MUSIC FOR JAZZ FEST! Ok, that is an excuse if I ever heard one. What a beautiful environment with great staff to be able to browse through enormous genres of every kind of jazz to a giant selection of gospel! Go New Orleans! Kudos for keeping live music, recordings and books ALIVE!

A great store with a wide selection of CDs, vinyl, and even some tapes and 8 tracks thrown in there. They have an extensive selection of local artists, and staff who do not make you feel inferior for asking questions! Listening stations available, too. Just a great visit. Also, the music is not overpriced! There is a wide variety of stuff available at all price ranges, and I felt like a got a number of things for a steal.

This is an excellent place to get lost in and listen to, and buy local music. Their selection of jazz, blues, brass, and other more obscure local genres is quite good. The staff are very knowledgeable, as well, and can answer most questions quickly, or find the answers for you in short order.

This is a great stop on the way to Frenchmen Street!

Always excited to visit a new store selling second-hand/original press vinyls. LMF an Ok range of music genres - best on jazz -but not special, compared to others in the state or USA.

I was willing to overlook them using window cleaner (?!) to shine the vinyls but when I asked the condition of one LP (a standard enquiry I'd imagine because most places rate the condition & this shop doesn't) one guy looked at me as if I was asking a rude question and simply said - well, I don't know, play it if you want. Then he carried on being offensive. The other staff were equally as vile.

I'd suggest visitors to NO shouldn't make a special effort to visit this place.

We stopped by this place on our tour of the French Quarter and it was a flash from the past with all of the records and albums. We bought 3 records. They were $3.00 a piece and we are going to use them for decoration. Nice little spot to peek in, if your in the area!
