If you want to see a guide feed an alligator and wild pigs marshmallows and hot dogs go for it. I specifically asked about birding and was told there were lots of birds. Well, the bayou is clearly quite polluted as not a bird or even a bug in sight. Boats roared thru the wildlife preserve. Their boats may be... More

We're so sorry that you were disappointed by your tour. We are passionate about earning the "eco-tour" label, and all of our team members, managers, and captains truly value the swamp and all of the wildlife it contains. Typically we do see a number of bugs, birds, and other animals during our tours, but because it is a wildlife area,... More

My husband and I had a blast on this tour! We saw tons of alligators literally right beside the boat, a wild boar, and tons more of interesting insects, birds, and trees! Lots of information was provided and our tour guide Captain Ryan was the best! He was extremely informative and funny! Will do this again!

This was by far the best experience and worth every penny! Our tour guides were fantastic and hosts at the gift shop were friendly and accommodating. The gift shop is reasonably priced! It is not a tourist trap or outrageously expensive. We did the night tour and saw tons of gators (at least ten), fed them marshmallows and hotdogs so... More

We too the Cajun Encounters tour on the morning departure at 0930 due to the heat but the boats are covered to shade you from the sun anyway. We had Captain Matt and he was brilliant! He was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything we saw from the trees and foliage to the alligators and crawfish. We saw an 11 foot... More

The tours of both these plantations were fascinating. I learned a lot about the history of Creole people in LA and something about what life was like on a plantation, both for the plantation owners and for the slaves. The tour guides in each of these very different plantations were well informed and presented the information in an interesting and... More

Terrific tour and a great Captain "Judo". Wasn't sure it was a trip I wanted to do but I am so glad a I did it. Our Captain answered all our question and had a lot of information about our surroundings. A must do when coming to New Orleans!

My husband and I took the swap tour and really enjoyed it. It was fun but very informational. Captain Henry was the best tour guide and us laughing through the tour. I have been with another tour group before and this was the absolute best. Keep up the work and we look forward to visiting again.

Our tour guide Mike was superb and was able to introduce us to a lot of the local fauna. He was knowledgeable about the environment and the issues it faces. I strongly endorse and recommend this tour.

Our tour guide Stephen was awesome! He was so friendly. Managed to get a baby turtle. Also, I love how they feed the alligators right in front of you! The wild hogs were not out but he still managed to get more alligators. Helpful hint: you are allowed to tip them.

We did a 7:30 am tour. Our guide was Butch and he was very informative. However, he has so much to say that at times he talks very fast & sitting in the very back of the bus, it was hard to hear/understand some of his stories. (My teen/tween actually fell asleep a couple of times). This would also not... More
