The area
Address
Neighborhood: French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

DO NOT BUY. THEY SELL FAKE/FRAUD ITEMS.
I purchased two items from this store. BOTH items were sold to me as originals. Both came with a forensic letter and a VIN laminated document. BOTH were FAKE. The owner will respond like other complaints. That the BUYER should have had it inspected at time of purchase.
If you listen to their excuse, they are saying the buyer should have checked before walking out the store. Yet, while in the store they claim that what you are buying is real. That you are buying from a store that sells real items. They show you the documents from the document examiner. SO why would a buyer have to do all the work of verification? Why then not just say they "might be " real? Why not have a " buyers beware" sign? Because they know it is fake.
Lets just assume they don't know its fake. That their document examiner is not a fraud ( initials of examiner are C.L). Then they are grossly incompetent. They should not be in the business of selling ANY artwork or ANY kind. I will feel much better knowing that I took their scam as long as I inform people not buy to from this store. Save your money. Don't be fooled. THIS STORE IS A FRAUD

The vintage barware area is like a small museum. So beautifully displayed. I could have spent a lot more time gazing at the brilliant colors and designs. A wonderful sales person came and described designers and fabricators - so fascinating! I should have also looked at their glittering estate jewelry, but quite frankly, the barware was my jam.

I know most people don't worry about how their drinks are mixed or served at home as long as they taste good. However, in my youth when entertaining a host wanted to have proper barware for martinis, single malt,or other libations.A company named Culver made some of the finest examples with 22 K gold embossed glasses and pitchers and Vintage 329 has the largest selection of Culver that I have seen in the last 50 or 55 years. Some of their patterns were limited and hard to find even when they were new.I must warn you this barware was usually sold in Jewelry Stores or Sachs 5th Ave. or Neiman-Marcus so it is not inexpensive.I'm sure that with the internet and enough patience you could find some of the same items for less-but you would be hard pressed to find many of the items. If you want NICE barware from a bygone era this place is amazing---if you want a generic shaker and some martini glasses go to Williams and Sonoma

I always stop here to buy a bracelet when we are in town. It's the only place I buy costume jewelry.

Every Autographed item in this store is fake. Forged Beatles, Eric Clapton, Hendrix, the list goes on. None of the items have been authenticated by 3rd party autograph authenticators such as JSA or PSA. Every item appears to be signed by the same individual. STAY AWAY!!

I was pretty excited about Vintage 329 while I was researching New Orleans. Once I arrived, I was not disappointed. The unique, curious and just plain funky cool are arranged throughout three rooms; so much so, in fact, that being a large man, I was careful about how I turned around in the back room.

Prices vary according to the individual piece, and although I'm no expert, they seemed pretty fair to me. The staff was friendly, not at all pushy and most importantly, well versed in their stock.

If you're looking for a special gift, or a truly individual piece of memorabilia, you'll not go wrong at Vintage 329.

Vintage 329 is a must see if you're into memorabilia. The owners didn't seem to mind anyone walking around just browsing (with no intention of buying) at the awesome items such as a Jimi Hendrix guitar ($48,000), Travelling Wilburys, Beatles, and many more famous musicians, movies and authors. You will need at least a half an hour there.
