This isn't my time of shopping, as I'm more of a bargain shopper than a posh shopper, but this is a very pleasant mall to stop at and pretend the 50% off sales mean something. I mean 50% off of $400 is $200, which is for those who shop like that, a great bargain. The mall isn't crowded and swamped... More

Not a big shopper so came here out of curiosity -if you are a shopaholic, you'll love it, so many shops, so many high end quality brands. A few added attractions like the food court and cinemas.

Not your typical American shopping mall. It's full of very expensive shops. The parking is expensive and the lifts are terrible.

Quiet mall with higher end stores. Movie theater and local gym on level three and small food court. One of the food courts places has great protein shakes. (Forget name). Outstanding! Anthropology, banana republic and lulu lemon also in this mall. I like shopping here, it's clean and just the right size.

Nothing beats the Shops at Canal Place, for fine goods and services. This is the upscale mall in the city, all rolled into one beautiful venue. Check the hours; not open as late as you would expect.

Definitely recommend going to Canal Place to those who like high end shopping. Saks Fifth Avenue is the anchor store. Other stores include Armani, Tiffany's and Lululemon.

Beautiful mall inside but shops are for people who want to spend money on things that shouldn't cost that much and can be bought for much less other places. Associates inside Michael Kors are too high pressure and merchandise can be bought for less elsewhere.

the mall was / is pretty to look @ and walk through, though it did not warrant the feel i seek when visiting nola. the feel garnered there was ... "too expensive" for my consideration.

The volume was low and the were too many lights on. The wait staff continued to disrupt the movie. I will not be back to a movie that serves food.

We very much enjoyed the atmosphere at Canal Place. So many options of food and great place got some decent shopping. Definitely a good option to spend an evening.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
