Description:

Ride with us at Confederacy of Cruisers, New Orleans original and oldest...

Ride with us at Confederacy of Cruisers, New Orleans original and oldest bike tour company. Going on 10 years of great tours and great customers keeping us feeling like the luckiest folks in New Orleans every day when we come to work. The tour that started them all and our others, the Culinary, the History of Drinking and our combined Pedal to Paddle with our friends at Kayakityat.

New Orleans is so more than the French Quarter and we want to show you what most visitors don't get to experience. The heart of our city is seen through its other historic neighborhoods on the Creole side of Town, the beautiful Faubourg Marignyand Bywater; and there is no better way to explore them than with New Orleans' original bicycle tour company. Join us as we take you for a bike ride around the old streets and tell you the stories of the New Orleans that most tourists miss. The ride is relaxed, with plenty of time to ask questions, and a stop along the way at a neighborhood bar where you can find out all you want about local life while drinking a delicious Bloody Mary, if you like (water or nothing are also fine choices). For those who want to delve a little deeper, we offer a tasty Neighborhood Culinary Tour and a Historic Drinking Tour (where you get to indulge as you learn), all travelling through our our city like the locals do, on easy to ride classic cruiser bicycles. One speed, slow.

We decided to do the cocktail bike tour as a way to see New Orleans and to see different neighborhoods and to learn a little bit of history while enjoying libations. Ashley was vivacious and an informative tour guide. I'd highly recommend this tour to people looking for a fun way to experience New Orleans and get a little tipsy.... More

We decided on a bike tour. I thought it would be a great way to cover a lot of ground in a few hours. The tour was a small group, just two other couples beside us. We took the Creole tour and our guide Derrick was great. I felt like we saw a TON of the city that we never... More

The cocktail bike tour was recommended to me by a colleague - and it was the best part of the trip! Totaling around 3 and a half hours, we got a tour of the city (mostly the French Quarter and surrounding areas) and enjoyed 5 iconic drinks along the way. A must-do!

Had a blast. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable of all things New Orleans. The food was amazing and riding through the different parts of the city was immensely fun. I would definitely recommend it this tour above all the rest.

I had the cocktail tour with Ashley and it was the greatest bike tour i have ever been on. EVER. The drinks were off the chain and ashley was very interesting, fun, and knowledgable (and also very easy on the eyes ;)......). Just sayin. Take this tour. You wont regret it.

This is a review of the cocktail cruise of the French Quarter I have only been to New Orleans twice, but I have fallen in love. In many ways, I consider Confederacy of Cruisers, my first date with NOLA. New Orleans is a boozy city, and a bar crawl seems to me a natural way to get to know it.... More

The tour was great. A new way to see the quarter and find some great spots to revisit later. Which we did!!

Our guide was extremely knowledgable and fun - the perfect mix for a great tour. We enjoyed getting to know a less touristy part of NOLA. Will definitely return for their other tours!

Lots of interesting cocktail and other history, as well as great drinks included with the tour. 10:15am may seem like an odd tone for a drinking tour, but as they say in New Orleans, if you want to drink all day, you have to start in the morning.

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighborhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
