On two separate occasions I have booked a tour with Glen of Private Driver New Orleans and can highly recommend the experiences! He was recommended by the concierge at the Hotel Roosevelt and we were told then there is no one better for a personalized, professional and enjoyable tour of the city. The first trip was earlier in 2019 and we enjoyed many interesting sights and neighborhoods. Our December trip was focused on Christmas lights and decorations around the city. I have been to NOLA many times but specifically wanted to see the city during the holidays. We saw everything we could imagine and then some. Glen knows the city very well and because of his love of the city, provides relevant historical as well as current information about every aspect of NOLA. He is very professional yet warm and genuinely interested in making sure his clients are more than happy. Whether a first time or repeat visitor, a private tour with Glen will be personalized, informative and memorable.

This was the perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon and learn so much about this unique city! Glen was extremely nice and informative. We did a three-hour driving tour with our group of 6 people and it was the perfect amount of time to visit many area highlights including the French Quarter, Garden District, City Park and more. All of the interesting history, culture and stories were fun to learn about and things we likely would never have known without Glen.

We used Private Driver for roundtrip airport transfers for our recent visit to NO as well as booked a city tour. Cainan was waiting for us at the airport. The car was nice and clean and the ride to the hotel was very informative and he suggested some great restaurants. We had great conversation and he was very polite.
Glen took us on a 3 hour city tour, which didn't seem like 3 hours at all, we enjoyed every minute of it. Glen is very knowledgeable about the history of NO. We learned quite a bit.
Thanks Glen, we will definitely be back and will be booking with you again.

This is our third trip to New Orleans and on each of our visits we have used Glen Hobgood of Private Driver New Orleans. Glen’s knowledge of the City is obvious on the tours he conducts, but also further evident in the local restaurant suggestions during our 2 week stay. We had amazing local meals at restaurants we might never have found.
Upon arrival we encountered some difficulties with our hotel and Glen got us into the Windsor Court for the remainder of our stay. Being in New Orleans on a busy Mardi Gras weekend was an experience and Glen explained the traditions, showed us some parades and Judy had a blast getting her picture taken with some of the the rolling Elvi.
We are antique shoppers. Glen covered all of the French Quarter and New Orleans spots and then drove us to Pontchatula for further antique adventures. A beautiful day at Houmas House and City Park and the Sculpture Gardens were also highlights Glen made sure we didn’t miss. Any return trips to New Orleans we will definitely use Glen Hobgood and Private Driver New Orleans.

Glen was recommended to us by the Hotel Monteleone concierge who couldn't have suggested a better guide. We told him what we wanted to see, and he took us everywhere and then some. His knowledge of the NO area is outstanding. He was very accommodating to us, and we couldn't have asked for a nicer gentleman.

I am so glad we found Glendon and Kathy. They were wonderful to work with. We had planned a trip on a day that had a storm and they were so flexible in rearranging to make it work the next day argot we were charmed before it even started. Our driver Glendon was so well informed and knowledgeable. We learned so much about the city and the evirons. We got both a moderns and historical perspective. The care was large and clean and comfortable… and he has a cooler in the back with water just in case it got too hot. No detail left out. Would definitely recommend.

We spent three hours touring the city and learning the history and interesting facts. Glen has a broad knowledge of both city history and current events. He taught the origins of common phrases and a few little known facts about the city in the comfort of an air conditioned Suburban.
He cared for us and was responsive to our needs ... plenty of cold drinks, stops for photo ops and a place for a fresh, healthy snack and the all important restroom.
We will engage Glen during our next visit also.

Glen allowed us (a family of four with two kids, ages 10 and 12) to customize a private tour that took us to all the places we wanted to see. I'd already been to NOLA a couple times, and wanted to have more of a historical perspective, as well as to see the post-Katrina recovery and bayou. In addition, we also toured the more traditional Garden District, City Park and French Quarter. He even showed my son where Drew Brees lived after he asked about it. There was no question Glen couldn't answer. It was a fantastic 5 hour highlights of NOLA experience!

Our private tour guide, Glen Hobgood, was recommended by The Roosevelt hotel concierge. We had never been to New Orleans before so we wanted a private tour rather than one of the larger bus tours. Glen was great. Our tour was for 3 hours and he took us through all the main areas of New Orleans (French Quarter, Business District, Jackson Square, Garden District, etc.). What we really enjoyed was his detailed knowledge of the history of the various areas. We would definitely hire him again and we highly recommend anyone wanting a private tour to use Glen.

The concierge at the The Roosevelt Hotel recommended this tour. We enjoyed the tour and Glen was very accommodating, informative and engaging! It was well work the money since group tours can be pricey. the private tour enabled us to tailor our 3 hour experience to our liking. We told Glen what we were interested in. He gave us so much historical information and interesting facts. He knew where we could stop for public restroooms and gave us a quick peek into some cool Mardi Gras behind the scenes stuff.
Glen drove us in a clean, air conditioned truck stocked with complimentary water. He dropped us off at a restaurant he recommended at the end of the tour.

Rates to Plantations are $90.00 hour door to door to all Plantations. It generally takes 4 hours with driving time and touring the Plantations. The Plantations have their own tour guides so you will incur an additional cost per person for their tour. You can book you trip directly with us at 504-722-6447.
