I've read that Bill is a great tour guide, but our tour guide was Michelle and she was fantastic! She was sweet and charming and extremely knowledgeable and passionate about New Orleans and Creole culture. She shared so much information with us and all in a very well paced and easily absorbed format. The visits to various courtyards and other... More

Bill K. Is a walking book of knowledge! You can tell how much he loves New Orleans, especially the French Quarters! We loved the exclusive visits to courtyards & the cemetery tour was fascinating & a favorite of our teenager. Our only complaint was the length. Because the day was quite warm, 2 1/2 hrs. Would have been better than... More

My wife and I wanted to learn a bit more about the rich history of New Orleans and the French Quarter on our visit. This tour was everything we could have hoped for and more. The groups are small which means you can easily hear what is being said as well as engage with additional questions. You really do cover... More

Bill brought the history, people, cultures, and resilience of this special city alive!! He even sang songs which were part of the times...I will look at the French Quarter and native New Orleanians with even more... More

This was our first time in New Orleans so we were interested in learning more about the city and seeing the sites. This tour did not disappoint! We were with Bill and he is clearly passionate about "his city" and very knowledgeable of its history. Great tour and guide! We were there on Memorial Day and had a small group... More

I walked in New Orleans in December 2014 with Bill and returned in May 2016 with my sister to do the same tour. Bill certainly made sure it was just as interesting! He added new items and we thoroughly enjoyed learning about New Orleans history and people. Thanks again Bill

We had taken this tour a few years earlier, this time we brought another family couple. We so appreciated the tour we took them on it, but to make it a little different for us we took the 3 hour private VIP tour. Just superb, Bill Coble kept us interested, informed, and entertained for the full 3 hours!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
