We live equal distance between East Towne and West Towne Malls. Both malls are medium size. West Towne has a few more upper end stores than East Towne. However, I am extremely cautious in the food court and parking lot at West Towne. There was a recent altercation in the food court at West Towne which ended up in gun activity in the parking lot. There have been midday assaults in the parking lot at West Towne yet I'm not aware of the same activity at East Towne. I do not mind getting something to eat at the food court at East Towne. I would choose to eat at an outlying restaurant after shopping at West Towne.

This mall is really going downhill. Not a lot of really good shopping there these days. The floors are worn and dirty, tiles are cracked. Seems there could be better upkeep and a way to attract more stores.

It was not bad but it was just an average mall. This is a great place to get out and stretch. The mall had about 80 percent to 85 percent filled, two anchor stores are empty.

On visit to Madison stopped by to shop for Christmas presents. Noticed some closed shops as well as lack of an abundance of merchandise for shoppers. Busier than most malls, but also struggling. Mall is well kept, good food court. Still worth shopping here to support local businesses.

Shop at your own risk at this mall. The city and the owners are "trying" to clean up the criminal activity in and around the mall, but I do still recommend using situational awareness. On that note, I shop at Tradehome Shoes, since the city I live in, lacks what I need in shoe width. The employees know what is needed when the customer asks questions, and what the customer does or wears for that right shoe. I do give Tradehome Shoes five circles for their service and help.

With the demise of Sears and Boston Store (and others) in West Towne Mall, East Towne now seems to be the best option for shopping in Madison. While the stores are scattered and disjointed, there are at least options for shopping, unlike West Towne, which is sadly near death.

This area should be avoided at all costs. The restaurants are all chains with subpar food.
Go into Madison, either to the Williamson Street area or the Downtown area for great food.

Bad rep because of criminal activity limits when I can get there. Madison East side needs a safe, clean modern mall for people living in the area. I hate having to go to the West side for good shopping.
