It is always exciting to tour the Capitol Square and surrounding shops, particularly durring Farmers Market season. There are thousands of great things to explore and learn. Fun food samples at the Farmer's Market. There are even posters at the Market and one can get acquainted with the cows and goats supplying milks made into the Artisanal cheeses at the market. Exciting bookshops near the Capitol too.

Captivating views of the building from many side streets. Lively farmers market on Saturdays around the square. Numerous restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, hotels, and more within 1/4 m from capitol.

We came on a Saturday during the Farmers' Market. The area was bustling with activities. We visited the Veteran Museum and the Historical Museum. We enjoyed the Farmers' Market and there are plenty of retail stores and restaurants around the square.

I worked in the old Greyhound Bus Station and used to pick up the mail at the Federal Building. I have also taken official tours of the Capitol. Businesses come and go. If you can, visit when the food carts are out or summer when the farmers' market is operating. Great people watching and grazing!

This has one of the best farmer's markets that I have ever seen. It circles the entire mall. The mall itself is very peaceful and quiet except on Saturday mornings. I only wish that there was more seating to enjoy the park

I think this may be the best farmers market in the world! Come on a Saturday morning....get there early. It is fantastic. Everything from fresh veggies, to meats, cheeses, and flowers. I could do this every saturday morning.

What a fantastic experience! Fresh veggies of all types, fresh flowers, fresh cheese, fresh pastries and breads, just....fresh! Handmade pasta, meats straight from the farm----and this is just what's on the Capitol side. Across the street you'll find various handcrafted items. Enjoy if you don't mind crowds and avoid if you do---it's a swift-moving current of old, young, large, and small folks. Come early for the best selection, come later if you want a steal on what's still there.

The world's largest farmer's market bring purity to you in terms of art, food and crafts. Every Saturday from late summer to fall invites you to fall in love with what is called one of America's most liveable cities. In the cheese state, there is one booth that offer 66 different types and you wonder why they say..."When you say Wisconsin, You've aid it all!"
