Was here for the Ironman. The Monona Terrace was a great staging place for this race. The view from the outside deck was amazing!

We visited the terrace and convention center after a trip to the farmers market. If was about 9 am on a Saturday and it was pretty quiet at Monona, with only a handful of people on the terrace. The view is fabulous, would be a joy to attend an event at the facility. After enjoying the terrace, we went down... More

The facilities and staff are great. It's a beautiful building with great views and amenities. The food supplied, from appetizers, breakfast, buffet, plated meals, and snacks, were all top notch. No complaints. Great location central to downtown. Parking was tight one day. Come early to secure parking.

The Monona Terrace was built as a place to relax near (above) water and also as part of the Convention center. Visitors can get to the Terrace (6 floor) by the promenade straight from the Capitol building. The promenade will take visitors to the fifth floor of the Terrace. Or, visitors can get to the Terrace from lake shore John... More

Going to the Monona Terrace is always good! We were there for a fundraiser last fall. Great large room, good staff, great food. Good cause. Being able to see the lake is always fun. It's so beautiful. Glad they have this building. So many events can be scheduled. Good for the Madison and surrounding area business! Good for Madison too.... More

Visit the Captiol and then take a walk down to the Terrace. Lovely views of the lake. Roof top garden was really lovely. There is a cafe up there too, which we did not visit because it was a little chilly and getting dark, but it would probably be a great place for lunch or dinner on a nice day.... More

We just walked around and inside the day we were there. It was early and they were setting up for a show. The views were picture worthy, and neat to just walk around and explore.

This Frank Lloyd Wright designed convention center (though built long after FLW's time) is truly a beautiful building which dominates the Monona Lakefront of Madison. It's equally nice inside, and I have enjoyed conferences there (though the rental rates for the facility reflect its architecture and are pricey).

Just wanted a gift shop and our GPS led us to one located within this property. What an awesome convention center. Beautiful location on a lake, designed by a famous architect, a garden and patio with an incredible view from any direction - wow. Nice gift shop too. You can take a tour of the property - hope to book... More
