We walked up to Monona Terrace after visiting the farmer's market and the view of Lake Monona was stellar! The landscaping and flowers were immaculately kept. We did not use the convention center, so I cannot speak for that, but it is a relaxing place to people watch and enjoy a nice summer breeze.

An architect's dream tour. My husband is an architect so he was very interested in the building and the history of The man behind it all. The rest of us were along just for the fun. Not very interesting tour of you are not into architecture. Tour guide was a little dry and was adoring the carpet more than the... More

We have been on a tour of FLW structures across the US. It was good to see the structure and learn how it was designed and built in FLW's later years. The building design is beautiful as it sits on/over Lake Monona. It fits nicely with a direct view of the Capitol. It is modern in that it has a... More

This place is amazing. It is definitely a place to stop if you are in Madison. You have an amazing view of the lake and you can see people fishing, kayaking, jet skiing, etc. It is great for all ages and is very close to the downtown area.

We had spent the day at the Frank Lloyd Wright House in Spring Green and heard the story of this building, so when we got back to town, we had to check it out. It offered nice views of the lake and was very spacious. We went in the evening, so the cafes were closed and there weren't too many... More

A great place for a convention or even just dropping by on a walk in downtown Madison. A good view of Lake Monona and there is a photo gallery of other Frank Lloyd Wright inspired buildings.

I've been to Monona Terrace for several business conventions, both as an exhibitor, attendee, and host. This is a very nice establishment made especially for 1 day conferences. Anything more than 1 day is a bit of a challenge due to hotel placement. Although connected to the Hilton, the room block options can be limited forcing your attendees and vendors... More

I can't say anything about the convention center, as we didn't even go inside, but the rooftop terrace was great. There is a great view of the capitol building, tables and chairs at which to sit and enjoy the lake, flowered sculpture gardens, an outdoor cafe restaurant, and clean public restrooms.

I am a big Frank Lloyd Wright fan, so we stopped in Madison to see this building. Free to walk around inside and outside. They had $5 tours at 1:00pm, but we didn't take the tour. It was nice to walk around the rooftop. Had a quick lunch at the cafe with nice outdoor seating overlooking the water.

Downtown Madison just a few blocks from the Capitol is this marvelous walking space. The gently sloping ramps allow easy access for all. The plants are carefully tended and add softness to the concrete setting.
