One of the most wonderful schools in the nation.

UW is a Big Ten (12) school. The campus is spread along the shore of Lake Mendota, making it one of the most beautiful locations for an institution of higher learning.

Rode our bikes around the trail at the lake, but hung out at the fabulous beer and brat garden. Live music and nice for families too. Boats on the lake a pretty sunset.

We wanted to see the campus while visiting Madison so checked out the website and saw that they did offer guided tours on certain days and times. It just so happened we were going to be vacationing in Madison on the day of the tour. Online it showed you could buy tickets for the tour but it wanted you to... More

This review is based on location and the downtown Madison campus, not academic excellent. If you visit Madison, it is worth your time to stroll around the campus. The whole campus is designed for bike and pedestrian friendly. The bike path and trail along the lake is a great assess. Visitors can walk up Observatory Dr. To see the spectacular... More

I attended the University of Madison many years ago, and , although many buildings have changed, enough older ones remain in use and it is beautifully situated on Lake Mendota.

One of the top universities in the world, highly rated in the life sciences, medicine, political science and sociology. Tough to get into, they are taking top 5% now. Bargain education if you get admitted. Tons of fun, a real campus culture with the sports, events and location in wonderful Madison, WI. Family is full of Badger alumnis.

The campus of this land grant university is large and, in some instances, stunningly beautiful, especially the "original" campus area between University Avenue and Lake Mendota. Check your city map for this for an expanse of architectural and cultural beauty from the lakeside "Red Gym" at one end of campus to the nature preserve peninsula called "Picnic Point:" at the... The student union building is situated on the lake and has plenty of public seating, food and beer vendors and ice cream that is made at the university. We saw the UW football game televised on a big screen which made the visit more entertaining.
