Lovely!

One does not put Madison and Opera into the same sentence - most think of Madison and sports, but the opera does great shows with top performers and excellent production values.

I have only visited once for my first and only opera which was The Barber of Seville. Seat were comfortable but a little cramped, view from my seat was excellent. Great view of orchestra pit, stage and subtitle board. I will go again and recommend the experience.

Ok, have never thought opera was my cup of tea, but I was familiar with Sweeney Todd from the movie, so thought I would see what the production was like. This event was held at Garner Park. It is an annual event in July that we happened upon while reviewing the website. If you have a chance, I would highly recommend seeing the opera in this relaxed format. Pack a picnic and bring along your favorite beverage. It was one of the highlights of our vacation. I hope to return... More

While I thought the ticket price was a little steep, I definitely enjoyed myself. The show was outstanding and while in Italian, it had the subtitles, in order to understand. Will definitely be catching another show soon!

MO's production of "The Masked Ball" in November was great. Besides great singing, the singers were very good actors. The set, borrowed from some other company, ran from very good to horrible perspective.
