Interesting first time experience for kids. Seems outside don't need seating tickets. Parking was $30.

We have been coming to Hot Springs for the horse races for years. On this day I witnessed a terrible horse tragedy. Broke my heart. I know it comes with the territory. These horses are beautiful athletes and they seem to love running. Even witnessing a tragic accident I will come back and watch the horses run again.

Went for rebel stakes races very crowded but still fun. Parking lot was full so on a busy day get there more than 2 hours before to find a spot. Good corned beef sandwich. Paddock area is goofy indoor and hard to see. Drinks from track area allowed in casino but none can go out. Casino was fairly looser than... More

Oaklawn Park is a Blast! This was my first time to experience horse racing. We started out the day early by attending the 7:30am "Dawn at Oaklawn" tour. I would highly recommend taking this tour when you visit. When you arrive, they give you an autograph card with a jockey's photo on it as your ticket for the tour. Grab... More

The gaming room was great....many slots to try your hand/luck at. I played the penny machines only and got my money back which was great for me.

Parking at the track was cheap ($2) and plentiful. Didn't find the racetrack very crowded with easy access to all amenities. Could've had more food choices but typical lunch fare with burgers and sandwiches. If you went outside near the track you were inundated by all the smokers at the rail. Better to stay inside. The races seemed well organized... More
