The mission of Mid-America Science Museum is to stimulate interest in science, to promote public understanding of the sciences, and to encourage life-long science education through interactive exhibits and programs. The Museum also serves as a premier tourism attraction in Arkansas.

The purpose of Mid-America Science Museum is to explain scientific knowledge and concepts to the public through interactive exhibits, activities, workshops, and educational programs. The Museum seeks to stimulate a lifelong interest in science, spark curiosity, reshape attitudes and stir the imagination. Our goal is informal science education that encourages learning in ways not ordinarily found in the workplace, classroom, or home. To achieve this purpose, the Museum will maintain the highest standards in providing quality exhibits, programs and services for students, citizens and visitors to Arkansas.

The kids cannot get enough! Lots of science experiments and a great dinosaur exhibit. There's even a cast mastodon from skeletal remains found in the area. Inside and outside activities, walking trail, etc. Tons of fun!

My grand children went and loved it. I thought they had created a nice place that was fun and you learned something.

We took the grandkids ages 4-13 and the 30 year old parents and even 62 year old us (grandparents) enjoyed. Lots of activities to explore and even an outside sort of tree house area with a net that looks like a bowl to run around in. They do have a snack/soda building separate from the Museum which was out of... More

I have been to lots of Science Centers over the years. It used to be Mid-America was good, maybe even very good. Then they got a big grant from someone named Reynolds, and man, boom it was great. As good as the Exploratorium in San Francisco, nearly as good as the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, better the... More

My kids (ages 3, 5 and 7) all loved this science museum. There were tons of interactive exhibits that are suitable for a variety of ages. We watched the show in the Tesla Theater and the whole family enjoyed it.

This was amazing! We stayed with the grandchildren for 6 hours! Your family will enjoy the walk way outside up in the trees.

My wife and I (both seniors) drove out from Hot Springs & we had a blast! The place was swarming with YES science camp kids, & it was great seeing them all engaged & excited about all the hands-on exhibits. The Tesla show was the highlight. The young man presenting the show was an ex-elementary science teacher & he had... More

Me, my husband and three nephews went today and we had a blast! The admission price was affordable and the place was easy to find. The facility is well-kept, clean and the staff is great. We loved the Tesla show! The young man presenting the show was very entertaining and great with children. I didn't get his name (saw 11am... More

We decided to give this museum a try. My boys had a good time. Enjoyed the dinosaur exhibits. This museum is loaded with cool displays. You can easily spend two hours walking around. I'm a frugal person and I can't understand why the price for admission doesn't cover the shows. Well I know it's a museum and money is needed... More

We had a fantastic time visiting the science museum. We had a 12 and 7 year old with us. We spent 3 hours (3-6pm) exploring. Both enjoyed the hands on activities. The Tinkering Room closed around 4:30 and we did not get to enjoy it. The museum offered 2 different movie type experiences, but we did not do these. Each... More
