- AndiK180015 contributionsGood showI'll be honest . . . when we walked in, I was super skeptical. However, we had a great time seeing this show on our girls trip. Plenty of laughs and fun tricks. Enjoyed seeing Rokas and his card-throwing abilities.Visited March 2023Traveled with friendsWritten March 27, 2023
- jstubbleMurray, Kentucky3 contributionsFamily Friendly and Adult Approved! Our group of 15 ladies couldn't have loved this more! It was so refreshing to go to a family-friendly, truly entertaining event with not one hint of anything inappropriate. We laughed, we were spellbound as to "how did he do that," we loved the charm of the historic theatre, we loved his banter and ability to connect to the audience, and we loved that he had a special guest that evening! If you are in Hot Springs...GO!Visited March 2023Written March 27, 2023
- Brandon C5 contributionsA must see!Our second time visiting Maxwell Blade’s Theater. He is family oriented and lots of fun. He and his crew deliver a night of laughter and is well worth the price of admission. He incorporates kids and adults into the show with comedy music and magic.Visited April 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten April 8, 2023
- Eva GWaco, Texas11 contributionsGreat entertainment for the whole familyThe show was very entertaining and definitely worth going to see. Maxwell surprised us with a variety of talents. We also enjoyed the small intimate setting. Parking was easy and there are some good restaurants within walking distance from the theatre.Visited May 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten May 16, 2023

This is a great memory they will have for the rest of their lives. Thank you, Maxwell Blade!Visited June 2023Traveled with familyWritten June 9, 2023
- Rmlea46 contributionsThank youMy second time seeing Maxwell Blade. It seem like the 1st time the show had more amazing tricks/ illusions. Overall I still loved it. There isn’t much to do there for entertainment for small kids other than putt putt golf so this was great.Visited June 2023Traveled with familyWritten June 26, 2023

- Veronica SNewport, Arkansas7 contributionsExciting, Mystifying, Mesmerizing, and FunFrom the moment we walked through the door, the staff were friendly and kind. After getting the tickets we sat, and waited until approx 5-10 minutes after the show was scheduled to begin, which I thought might be due to technically issues, but I believe it was all part of the show, and if so, it was brilliant. Because the first act was about Letting go of our constant obsession of time and to enjoy the here and now. Be in the moment. Maxwell did not disappoint. The show was excellent. He is a true showman and was glad that we were able to be observers. Will be going back, and will recommend to others. Thanks for everything!Visited July 2023Traveled with familyWritten July 3, 2023
- Elizabeth G2 contributionsBest Show AroundBy far one of the best shows I've ever seen. Maxwell is very interactive with the audience and if you're in the first few rows you'll get a ton of takeaways, which was awesome. His singing and piano skills are also AWESOME. I highly recommend. I almost never do reviews because I have to be blown away to take the time to write one. 👍👍Visited July 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten July 14, 2023

Honestly, I didn’t pay attention to much of the show. My husband and I bought tickets with assigned seating that happened to be at the back of the theatre. There was also a small partial row of seats behind us also. When we arrived to the theatre, there were several white people seated to our right and to our left on our row and one young black couple at the end of our row. There were also lots of vacant seats closer to the stage. Folks were sitting side by side. I just happened to notice that the last white couple that had sat beside us on my husband’s right was taking a seat closer to the stage.
I looked to my left and I saw an employee (whom turned out to be a manager named Tim) moving the white people on the left side of my row closer to the stage. He skipped over the black couple at the end of the row- he literally walked right past them and spoke to the white folks.
I then noticed that all of the other white people on the other side of my row had been moved closer to the stage. Even the whites on the partial row behind us. Only the two black couples were left on our back row and there were still lots of available seats closer to stage.
Now I have a problem. So I went to talk to Tim and asked him how does he’s select the people to move forward and fill in empty seats . Tim had just moved about 25 white people closer to the stage. I asked him why did he move just the white folks forward. He pretended that he didn’t notice they were all white. He then offered to move me and my husband closer only because I spoke with him.
I waited until the show was over and spoke with the black couple on the end of the row . This is when I found out Tim lied to me. When Tim moved the white folks sitting by by this black couple forward, this couple asked to be moved also. Tim said that he would check to see if any seats were available and never got back to them.
This lets me know that Tim intentionally did not move the black folks.
After the show was over, my husband and I spoke to Maxwell the magician. Maxwell was very nice, understanding and said that Tim should not have done that. Thank you Maxwell.
It took more effort for Tim to intentionally leave 4 black peoples out then to do the right thing by moving everybody forward. I should not have to tell Tim to treat me just as importantly as he treated the white folks. I paid to get inside the faculty just like everyone else.

Maxwell Blade has a sense of humor. However, the tricks were pretty basic and are of the birrhday party variety. He spends too much time talking about himself and too much time not so greatly playing the piano and singing. He advertises illusions, which he did 2 basic ones. We did not feel the show was worth the $57 cost for tickets.

The building architecture is is worth the peek! Not to mention the truly odd pieces inside... The show is well played and captivating, so while I could watch it solo... the room seems to get even smaller when surrounded by people you know, so bringing your friends or even children makes it even more memorable! My second time seeing the show at this beautiful location and I would definitely go see it again when I come to town!

My son and I loved both shows! Before the Up Close Show (a must see) Tim did some up close Magic with my son. The Up Close is a very intimate setting only 50 people can see the show she’ll get your tickets early. It’s very crowd interactive. Then for the main show Maxwell did a wonderful job engaging and mystifying everyone. Even though it was in a larger theater it was still very intimate. Maxwell got my son on stage because it was his 12th birthday and got him involved. I haven’t laughed that hard in so long. Then after the so we meet everyone and took pictures. As I was waiting I watched Maxwell interact with everyone. He was especially kind to the kids and made them feel special.
Then after the meet-n-greet. Tim started having a impromptu Magic lessons in the lobby with my son and another family’s boys for over an hour. It was very special because it was Tim’s last night.
Overall this is the most fun I’ve had in Hot Springs.

Small theater so interaction with audience is excellent. Was surprised with Maxwell's superior talent on the piano and singing (an added plus over the magic show) and the vocal talents of one of the assistants (performed a great opening song). Maxwell interfaced with children with patience and worked with the audience so everyone was engaged. Show time was about 2 hours, but seemed like only a few minutes. HIGHLY recommended.

My 2nd time to see Maxwell Blade Magic Show and he is a top notch performer! He is talented, funny, down to earth, and friendly. He always leaves a message for people to think about at the end of his show about life and giving to others. After the show, he spends time with his fans and takes pictures with them. He gave out free signed pictures to everyone who wanted one. I took my 12 year old niece and she loved it.

This show is exciting and fun. If your looking for a million dollar magic show go see David Copperfield. If you are in hot springs and want 2 hours of great entertainment than this show is a must see. My children now 18, 23 and 25 have seen him perform off and on since children and we are never disappointed. The addition of the arial act is amazing. Maxwell blade and his entire crew are amazing from top to bottom. Treat yourself to this show while in Hot Springs you will not regret it.

This show was highly recommended so we went. Got there about 35 minutes early and they had red lights on the ceiling shining down on you the whole time. The whole theater was painted black. It was making my eyes burn. The pre-show music was seriously load and not clear. Then the show was about 20 minutes late starting. The singing was awful, the piano sounded like an electric static machine. The magic was just ok. The only part that was interesting was when the kids were on stage. Very disappointed in everything that went on. We left at the break. Waste of money.

This was a really weird evening. He is a magician but the performance was less about the tricks and more about bringing kids up on the stage and playing Elton John songs on the piano. A couple of the tricks were pretty good but the trap door was pretty obvious for the disappearing acts. The sound was way too loud and the hype was laughable. And I would not be surprised to learn he had a couple drinks before the show. If you have kids, this would be perfect. The kids in the audience loved it. It's only $20 and a Hot Springs staple.

This is a MUST if you’re looking for entertainment in Hot Springs! And it’s kid friendly for those who are wondering. From start to finish my fiancé and I were either laughing or watching in awe of what was going on on stage. They do an intermission half way through the show and Maxwell Blade actually takes time to speak and take pictures to anyone who is interested. He seems like such a sweet soul. You can also tell how much his heart is in what he does, which is something that you don’t see often nowadays. His staff is also pretty amazing!! Haley (I think was her name) did a fantastic job at helping/providing lots of entertainment as well. If you’re even thinking about going, just do it... book the tickets!! Oh, and the popcorn is pretty tasty (I would definitely suggest a large per 2 people!

It's a magic and illusion show. It's always the same show. It last and hour and half. He'll also sing two Elton John songs. He also has audience participation. Admission was $24.50 adults and $18.50 kids. You'll have to call for tickets, no way to purchase online. Do not buy tickets to his Curiosity exhibit. They'll say it like Ripleys believe it or not! It's awful.

How long before the show should we arrive for good seats? The site says an hour, but I'm seeing that it fills up very quickly.

An hour is best. After you get your seats you can leave something to hold your chair if you wanna order from concessions, use restrooms or just look around.

Maxwell usually has all shows on Fridays and Saturdays. He does have a website for reservations, but you can buy tickets at the door one hour before show time. Tickets run about $20.00 for adults and $15.50 for kids. You will love the show!
