Beautiful views as you are driving through. We took a picnic lunch as there is an area with picnic tables and grills. Many paths to hike. Went up in tower which also provided great views, along with some history.

We decided after a long day of walking around downtown we would drive to the top of the mountain near the observation tower. It had already been the most beautiful day ,weatherwise. When we reached the top and went out on the veranda , we just sat and looked out over the city. It was breathtaking. So glad we took... More

We did the West mountain first and had wonderful views looking down onto Hot Springs. We then headed to Hot Springs mountain(for the observation tower) Along both roads we stopped and admired the various views. If you have the time I highly recommend doing this.

The drive up is very nice. Once at the top the view is incredible. We wish we had taken a lunch and spent the day up there.

This is a one way road and there are several places to stop along the way. At the end there is a place to fill your bottle with very sweet tasting potable mineral water. You can pay to go up to the tower and read all about the history of the area.

The one way winding drive starts just past Bathhouse Row. The city disappears and it is all scenic trees and rocks as you curve your way up and down. The road leads to the observation tower but the drive is a great step away from the usual tourist stuff even if you don't go stop at the tower.

We took a tour of the Hot Springs mountain areas. Woods, wildlife, hiking trails, and 46 hot springs seeping down the mountain. The water emerges from underground at about 130 to 140 degrees. There is always a mist around them. They were not comforting babbling brooks to meditate by, because the water was hot and humid. But I am very... More

Fun drive up the mountain to a "free viewing area" or a couple feet more and you can pay to go up the tower for a panaramic view

We drove up the winding paved road to the top of the mountain. We then took the elevator up to the top of the Observation tower to the open air viewpoint. You can see for miles from there! The second level observation area is enclosed and has a lot of historical information on display. Definitely a must see in Hot... More
