We went to the camp grounds and took the Gulpha Gorge Trail to the top of the east mountain. We walked a little ways to the two car pull outs to check out the views. We were there on a foggy morning and got some nice shots of mountain/hill tops sticking out of the fog.

This is a nice place to hike up to the tower and get some good pictures. The hikes are not long but it is a beautiful area. This is the part of the park that has some nature to it.

Very winding road up the mountain, take it slow. Enter the drive from the center of the city at the end of Central Ave., on to Fountain St. Maps are available at the NPS Visitor Center in the Fordyce Bathhouse. Lovely views from the top. You can also park and hike one of the trails.

Beautiful forest and area to hike. Not a true mountain as in Rockies but a good drive up. Same road up brings you back down in heart of Hot Springs.

Drive or hike up to the middle or top of any of the hot spring mountains and you will love the beauty especially in the fall and spring. It is a great place to visit for history fun and relaxation.

Winding road that allows you to drive up to tower or hike! Lots of trails that wind up and down. Lookout tower at the top

From the top of West Mountain you can see Hot Springs valley and the surrounding areas. Bring a set of binoculars, that would be great to see the sights and activities down below.

This is an attraction you should hit first thing in the morning. During the day the long twisty roads are backed up and you will sit in your car for an hour trying to get up to the observation tower.

a fun little drive up the mountain to overlooks of the surrounding area. We drove up the cute little switchbacks to a couple nice scenic overlooks late in the afternoon. It was not busy, just a few other cars around. I was able to take several scenic photos.
