With three trails to follow starting at 2 miles or just a short cut to the bigger falls it makes for a pleasant day of just hiking. You can take the short cut along the lake edge if you just want to see the falls and take a swim. The lake is beautiful and the camp grounds are clean and... More

I took my scouts on the lake boat tour. We had a wonderful guide, Ms. Tisa. She gave us the history of the lake and showed us some interesting parts of the lake. The lake is so beautiful, peaceful and serene. It also looks like they have some nice cabins as well. I recommend that you make your boat tour... More

We did the trail to the waterfall and it was nice. We really enjoyed the beach there were changing and bathrooms right there and shady spot for grandparents to sit. Water shoes would be a good idea. We didn't have them and it was a little rough on the feet. Noodles or floating devices recommended. Water is only 3 foot... More

We spent all day playing at the state park, as we were staying just down the road in nearby Diamondhead community. We hiked all morning on the shorter trail to the waterfall, but took the long way around (on purpose) and really enjoyed the scenery of the hike. There were plenty of places for the kids to go off path... More

We visited the park to sight see with our children. There is not much here to do or see. We really wanted to see the waterfall but be advised that it is rain fed and needless to say, dry when we visited.

We've stayed in LCSP several times and are always sad to leave. Beautiful lake with amazing over-the-water cottage rentals that are always very clean and impressive. They have the lowest-cost pontoon boat rentals I've ever encountered for 2-3 year old (max) perfect condition boats. Can not say enough good things about LCSP and can't wait to go back! Perfect!!!
