Stayed in loop A in a pop-up that overlooked the lake. Very nice, clean and spacious campground. The sites were not piled up one on top of the other. There was plenty of room for the kids to play at our site. The bathrooms were...More

We stayed for three nights and three days and had an outstanding experience. We were tent camping in a walk up sight, but the parking was still super close. The view from our tent was truly spectacular. We were close to the lake and the...More

Lake Ouachita is man made and crystal clear because of the strict rules around the litter policy. There is no one living on the lake so it is very peaceful and very clean.

Nice lake just outside of town. Paved good roads. Marvelous faulted and deformed rock strata at west end of dam, just as you get to the parking area on top of dam. Awesome power of plate tectonics. A Geology buff must see. Great long range...More

This is well worth the trip. I loved the lake and the woods. There is a hot springs in the park which cannot be used for drinking or bathing.

One of the most beautiful lakes in the country. Its worth the short drive from Hot Springs even if you don't get on the water.

This lake is absolutely beautiful! The water is clear and blue, and the shoreline and trees add to the natural beauty of Hot Springs! There are islands all over the lake, where you will see boats, pontoons and houseboats parked for the day or weekend....More

We absolutely loved our stay at Lake Ouachita State Park (with one big exception, which I will get to in a minute). We were there November 15-18, 2018 and had great weather. Cold at night, but 60s during the day. We tent camped with electricity...More

Really enjoyed our visit. The staff at the visitor center were so friendly. We hiked 4 miles around the lake on Caddo Trail. They said it takes 3 hours but took us 2 hours and 13 minutes. We also did the pontoon boat tour after...More

Mountain Harbor Marina does have a pet friendly boat rental. However, I would call well in advance due to the July 4th holiday. They also have an awesome fireworks display each year too!
