This lake is one of the most beautiful and spacious lakes of our state. We have spent numerous weekends on this lake. We live on another lake here and enjoy getting to Lake Ouachita for a day or weekend. Camping on an island or staying at one of the resorts is a guaranteed fantastic time!

This is one the cleanest and nicest lakes we have ever been to. My family has an annual camping trip each 4th of July. In the middle of summer there always seems to be a breeze. This is a very large lake with plenty of private coves and long stretches for boating and tubing.

The sunset & the sunrise are beautiful. You can practice water skiing or swimming. You can see the fish swimming at bottom of the lake because water is crystal clear. We are planning our next trip to the lake and we are excited to come back.

We love Lake Ouachita! It is by far the best lake in the area and definitely worth the drive out. Whether you hike, boat, camp, or swim at the beach, you will not be disappointed. It's so clean and has gorgeous views. We love exploring different areas of the lake shore, it's amazing how many different types of rocks you... More

Lake Ouachita is a little piece of heaven on earth. Great for water activities, camping, or just hanging out for the day in one of the islands. My girls love to go out in the boat.

We only spent a morning here but it is so pretty! It is a very large lake and well maintained. We stopped and walked around the rim of the lake and enjoyed the area. We were told it is the cleanest lake in AR. The area around it is very natural. Keeping the land untouched helps preserve it for all... More

We arrived on a Wednesday evening about 3pm and we were able to get the last site available. Sites are very modern and quit level. Lots of room and almost all sites have lake views. As it was very hot, we spent several hours just bobbing in the lake cooling off. The lake water was very warm, but enough to... More

Beautiful clear water. Be sure to have a compass or GPS in the boat. Many islands make this lake easy to get lost in. Fishing is generally good.

Hiked the 4 mile Caddo Loop Trail, which outlines a rocky peninsula in Lake Ouachita State Park. Great views and mostly shady in this hike through the forest. Not too strenuous, but the terrain is rocky with a few minor hills.
