the park is good. There is lots of graffiti, proably the worst thing in the park. The equimpent is nice for the children for all diffrent age groups! There is also a skate park, pool with a huge slide and diving board, as well as good organazation for age groups! There is lots of duck poop...but the ducks are kind and we love to feed them bread! The park as several small and cute pathways for the family to take a trip and venture down into secret gardens and streams! Fishing is also really fun here and there is never much line litter from fishers because they provide fihs bait trash cans open to the public! The beautifull pond is always open and has a lit fountain at night that is ever so pretty tobe lit around Christmas time! Over all the park with playground equptiment, tennis, 3 pools, basketball, YMCA, fishing, paths, fountains, gazibos, and more this park is awsome!!

Lots and lots of trees. Small lakes. Many shelter houses and picnic tables. One lake has a beautiful fountain. Ducks to feed, swimming pool and tennis courts. Right downtown on one side. Bounds the YMCA on the other side. What more could one ask for. I thought it a clean, beautiful, serene spot to chill.

This park is very large and very well maintained. We had our picnic lunch here under some shade trees after touring Historic Downtown Chillicothe. It is right next to the downtown and very easy to get to.

I used to LOVE this park. They had great shelter house facilities, a playground for the kids, a beautiful lake to fish in, not anymore. For some crazy reason a flock of ducks, geese whatever decided to make the area their home. The city should have gotten rid of them right away, but nope. They let them stay, they have multiplied over and over. You cannot walk your dog, or stroll along the lake with your kids. They ATTACK you. They come running toward you flapping their huge wings, I hate them. And forget about letting the kids play in the grass or tossing a blanket on the ground, its covered with duck poo! They have taken over the whole park and they even hold up traffic on the thru road by walking across it several times daily. They keep the lake water churned up during the winter so it no longer freezes over for skating. We really miss that!

This park is huge and a lot of fun. It would be a good place to stop if you're on a roadtrip and looking for a break. In the playground area, there are pods suited for separate ages and they are all worked around a central area with a water fountain. They recently removed broken or outdated items (so it is looking a little sparse at the moment) but the plan is to have new items in place by the end of the summer. There are numerous shelter houses, as well as a skate park, ball diamonds, duck/fishing pond, a pool, and a lot of walking paths. There is a floodwall along the river that many people walk along.

Such a beautiful spot in Chillicothe. The addition of the fountain in the park lake is beautiful. It’s peaceful and serene there. I really enjoy the old tree stumps that have been carved into animals

JMJ Beautiful park with swans and other birds, a large pond, and paths and historical markers. Take some time when visiting the First Capital District shops and restaurants to enjoy the beauty and the history.

Yoctangee Park is 48 acres located downtown adjacent to the Historic First Capital District. This is a community park for both active and passive enjoyment. Amenities include: softball and baseball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, shelter houses, restroom facilities, picnic areas, and one of the best handicap accessible playgrounds in Southern Ohio.
