We went out of our way to visit the Hopewell National Park sites and we are so glad we did. The museum and interpretive movie are well done. The staff is helpful and well educated. The mounds are well maintained and all have informative signage.

The movie inside the visitor center was very informative and highly recommended if you visit this historical site. There are several sites. Visit at least a few to understand this park.

Went to see the Tecumseh outdoor drama the night before . Stayed overnight near Chillicothe and came to this park the next day. The 20 minute movie was very good and long enough to give a good story to explain this site. My young grandsons...More

There are no entrance fees. Pets are allowed with certain restrictions that may be found at the NPS/HOCU web site.

Not difficult at all, the park is mostly flat except for the mounds of course. Alot of the walking paths are paved also.

Very flat walk that in total is no more than a kilometre or so. At the furthest part of the site away from the visitor's centre there some steps to better view the river below. The walk around the mounds is worthwhile.
