Take a quiet trail into the thickness of oaks and hickories. The Scioto Trail State Park in the Appalachian foothills makes for a pleasant hike.

There are two trails that lead from the north end of Caldwell Lake. The non-campground parking is limited, right next to the boat ramp. We made the "Tower Trail" (~2 miles) into a clock-wise loop. Start at trail sign I, go up a very steep...More

It’s a beautiful park. Although it was 20 degrees, people were still bringing their dogs to walk on the trails. The camper cabin was spacious and very toasty. Would love to return in the summer and really enjoy the park. Only 70 minute drive from...More

We took our grandsons camping and hiking here and they loved it. There is plenty to do here for all ages. Two lakes, hiking trails, camping, picnic tables and areas. You can even climb the fire tower, lots of steps, for a spectacular view!
