Old Leper Hospital
Aug 2019 • Friends
We went with the intention of visiting the hospital not Quy Hoa beach. It is a remarkably peaceful and serene setting, just walking around in peace and quiet at your own pace. There are various tombs, statues and gravestones to look at and wander around. We didn’t actually enter the old hospital (having read that this was possible) but sat and had coconut by the beach. If a peaceful and quiet morning appeals to you, go and visit. The T11 bus will drop you on the main road and you can walk down the winding and sometimes narrow hill.

Nice beach apart from the rubbish

Very nice beach apart from the rubbish all through the water. People need to start respecting their own country.

Very nice beach next to the old hospital. Good for a visit and relax but not for swimming. On the way from the city to Bai Xep.

Nice and quiet beach
Aug 2018 • Friends
Visited the beach, the old leper hospital and small village next to it. Beach is quiet, not really good for swimming. The area is nice. The road on the hill is amazing.

Perfect

A gem!!! If you're staying in Quy Nhon - add this to your itinerary. It's only a 5-10min car ride from town and well worth it. We got dropped off at the entry to the old leprosy hospital now a 'dermatology hospital' you pay 5dong entry and get to walk around the site which is pretty intriguing - if you're interested in medicine there are a lots of statues and tributes to famous historical physicians. It's a very unique place to go and to top it all it backs on to a stunning beach with clearer waters than Quy Nhon, a gorgeous stretch of white sand and no-one else there!!!! There are a couple of free to use umbrellas at the far end of the bay which isn't that long to walk. Be warned to bring your own packed lunch if you want to stay to enjoy the beach as there is nothing around other than the hospital.

Almost deserted gorgeous beach a few km south of Quy Nhon
Dec 2017 • Friends
Bai Bien Quy Hoa is located a few km south of Quy Nhon, one way to get there is to take the main road out of Quy Nhon, proceed south over the pass, and then turn left into Science Avenue, towards the International Science Center. Head straight until the cemetery, turn left, park anywhere and find a path to walk over the dunes and your there.
A special treat in December 2017: A ship wreck left by Typhoon Damrey in November.

Chances are you will be the only one on 2 kms of beach.

A peaceful place to enjoy fresh air
Mar 2016 • Friends
A nice quiet beach hidden in the pine wood. Quy Hoa used to be the dermathological hospital ran by catholic priests and nuns. It's most famous for the beach and the house where an renowed poet lived and died
