I have known Yael Nizrad Kutler personally for two decades and have had the benefit of practicing yoga with her intensively on two continents, when she is off season and not in Sri Lanka. She is the real deal, with her focus on proper alignment and breath work. In addition, you HAVE to experience the agony and ecstasy of Yael's Thai Yoga massage treatments and reflexology.. One minute you're thinking, "wow, this is better than sex..." and the next, you're cringing with pain from the pressure points she zeroes in on -- calling out for mercy. Seriously, her treatments are totally therapeutic (not merely rubbing oil and calling it a day) and so if it hurts, it heals. HIGHLY recommend Yael!…

Yoga with Yael is the best kind of yoga! I had my first real experience with yoga here at wave flow yoga in 2014. Since then i have been back two times, and im always looking forward to practising here. Yael is a brilliant teacher with 25 years of experience. She mixes different types of yoga in her classes, and they are suitable for absolutely everyone. No two classes are the same and I enjoy every minute spent there. I especially like the morning classes (at 9.45), gives me a great energy for the rest of the day! The location couldn't be better either, it's right on the beach. Yael also makes the most delicious kombucha that you can taste after class and buy if you want to.…

Yael is a fantastic yoga teacher. She gives a very thoughtful yoga class that is sympathetic to the needs of the people in the class. She also makes fabulous kombucha called Tea Chi Kombucha. After class she offers a tasting and you can buy bottles of it. Organic and made with a heritage scoby, it helped a lot with a stomach ailment my wife had when we arrived. This is definitely the best place to do yoga, meet great people and drink the best kombucha in Sri Lanka.…

Went to A-Bay for two weeks with Maxi, my son. We would get up every morning before the sun and head out to find waves. Every evening though, we joined Yael's Flow yoga class, which run around 90 min long turned out to be the perfect complement to the 3 hours of surfing we were doing daily. Her classes are for all levels, for instance my son is 22 and I'm 55, they ranged from 10 students to just the two of us on a couple of occasions. Wouldn't matter though. Yael seems to be able to get around all of her students while she verbally continues the flow positions she is making minor adjustments to help each and everyone get the most from it. Someone once said to me, the best yoga teacher is the one that you resonate with. Both my son and I resonated with her and we both thoroughly enjoyed our evening yoga. Can't recommend it highly enough. Oh and she trials and sells her homemade Kombucha after the classes. The Tropical Tumeric is perhaps the best Kombucha I have ever tried. No joke. The mixture of Fresh pineapple, passionfruit, apple, ginger, turmeric of course and what really surprised me, cayenne and black pepper.…

One week in Arugam Bay was way too short. I stayed at wonderful Stardust and within the garden compounds is Wave Flow yoga, I had the luxury of having a one-on-one session with Yael, only because Sri Lanka was suffering the effects of the Easter bombing and tourism was on an all time low. Even though I have done different styles of yoga over the years, I really enjoyed the yoga session with Yael especially with the use of blocks and elastic bands whilst listening to the sound of crashing waves right in front of the studio. Highly recommend it for a surfers and relaxers. Yael’s selection of home brew Kombucha is the best I’ve tasted, not too sweet and a nice concoction of fruits. My favourite is the coffee kombucha and a special brew of matcha made specially for me. I had a steady supply in my room fridge which helped keep my gut bacteria in check the whole week.…
