Chocolate cake spot

Well known cake spot, we enjoyed. But the standard of the cake has gone, must improve the quality. Good spot to relax and have tea.

Visited as part of a tour with Mercury Direct. Just the two of us and our driver came for a pit stop and a look around the tea factory..... Great Chocolate Cake though

Great views of tea plantations from the cafe. Do note that the famous 'Mackwoods' sign in the hills is being replaced as it was acquired by Browns. Good place to get a rest, a cup of tea and affordably priced (but very dry) chocolate cake - would recommend however shopping around before buying tea at their gift shop as the... More

This is a standard pit stop for those traveling to/from Nuwara Eliya to have a hot cuppa with a piece of chocolate cake amidst the lush green backdrop of tea fields. It's always a busy place and service can get a tad slow. The chocolate cake isn't what it used to be, lately you need a gulp of tea to... More

The experience at tgis place was excellent. Spend some time here and with the home made cakes and the wonderful tea. The atmosphere is wonderful with a view of the waterfall. A must go location.

The climate almost changes when u arrive at this point near Nuwara Eliya. These Tea Gardens are widely spread across many Mountains, making it is beautiful sight to see. It is the same like the other Tea Factories. you need not visit all the Tea Factories on the Road, but any one is fine !!

This is a must see whilst in Sri Lanka. The scenery in the tea plantation area is out of this world. You will see the ladies busily picking their quota for the day- no mean feat! A visit to the factory then shows the whole process of producing the tea we then buy. A nice cup of tea and a... More

On my way back with my beloved from Nuwareliya, we had a cup of tea with a piece of chocolate cake in a rainy evening. Both are finger licking taste. Whoever pass Labookellie must try.
