Worlds end offers you breathtaking views worth getting up early and walking 9 km trail. We went there from ella with a private driver which took us about 2 hours. The entrance fee is about $15. The trail is well-marked and clean. Very nice experience

As most sites in Sri Lanka, Horton's plains and World's End were nice and interesting, but overrated. The entrances to everything in Sri Lanka are just too expensive. It is a nice walk and the view is beautiful but I've seen better for free :-/

12 kms of excellent trek to test our capacity. Very scenic , well maintained and sign boards every where. No animals or birds to sight. Early start before sunrise is recommended. Good family time for 5 hours.

Horton's plains is famous because of the World's End. Does it look like the end of world? Not really, to be honest. Personally I enjoyed the Baker's Falls and the ever-changing weather more. It was amazing how Sri Lanka's weather can change from sunny to misty in a minute, and then back to sunny. In general, the trail is easy,... More

The best thing we ever did in Sri Lanka was to go to Horton's plains. Walking the trail was very entertaining. If you time yourself correctly, you will love the views. After noon, the mist starts rolling in, and nothing is visible. The park is well maintained and there is no trash anywhere. Excellent views from World's End. We wonder... More

Relaxing walk and breathtaking views. Wouldnt mind doing it again when back to Sri Lanka. Make sure to go very early morning to avoid long walks in heat and enjoy sunrise

There are great, if hazy views at World's End, but there are equal or better views in the Hill Country - Liptons Seat and Ella Rock, that don't come with the steep tour/transport costs, and the National Park ripoff fees. Apart from collecting the money, the National Park staff appear to do nothing. Ignorant Chinese tourists feeding fruit to the... More

As long as you get out before the most rolls in around 9 am, the hike offers stunning mountain views and nice waterfalls. The hike is a 9.5 km loop - go left to see mini worlds end first to be sure to beat the mist. You'll see the waterfalls towards the end but those views don't get obscured.
